DSUMC seeks to instill a sense of community within the Hill Country by inviting people of all ages and spiritual levels to grow through worship, study, mission and social action. Our primary reason for gathering each Sunday is to worship God; and because of worship, many things happen. We make and share lasting friendships. We learn the needs of others in the community and find the compassion to h

Register now for Family VBX! Join us July 21-23 from 5:30-8:00pm for our Vacation Bible Xperience, where the WHOLE FAMILY is invited to participate and learn about God's amazing creation together. We start the evenings with a family-style meal and move on to play games and learn more about Jesus.

"As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." - Joshua 24:15

What does it mean to be a missional family? It's not always about traveling across the world—though sometimes it is. More often, it's about being a light right where you are: in your neighborhood, at the grocery store, in your daily interactions.

This week's message challenges us with an important truth: Your household will know the Lord better when YOU know the Lord better. Every generation, from children at camp to ex-gang members in Costa Rica, can experience God's transforming love. The question is: Are you choosing to serve the Lord today, or the "little g" gods of this world?

We can't take a break from faithfulness. As you rise, as you walk, as you lie down—every moment is an opportunity to raise up your household to know God. Be a light. Let that light pierce through the darkness wherever you go.

"One generation will commend your works to another. They will tell of your mighty acts." - Psalm 145:4

Faith isn't just information to pass down—it's a legacy to live out. Our children catch faith emotionally before they understand it intellectually. They see it in our worship, our prayers, our repentance, and our daily walk with God.

The question isn't IF we're passing something on to the next generation. We ARE passing something on. The real question is: WHAT are we passing on? Faith is formed through relationships—through shared life, authentic worship, and walking together through both triumphs and trials.

Your children need to see you worship. They need to hear you give thanks. They need to witness your faith lived out authentically, not perfectly. Because one day, they'll have to live it themselves—and hopefully pass it on to their children too.
