This reply is in reference to a comment to The King's Way Ministries service 7/21/2024 on Prophetess Minnie Scott's page. The speaker was Apostle Maples "Let's Talk About It". You stated " I say this in love...God has NEVER called a woman to be an Apostle. We must stick to scripture always." Scripture does NOT agree to that statement. First of all, the basic definition of an Apostle is " a sent one, one commissioned for a particular task or role, a special messenger, and one who has had a visible encounter with the resurrected Lord." The word "one" is gender neutral meaning it could be a man or woman. In Matt.28:10 two women encountered the Resurrected Jesus and He said the them, Go and tell my brethren to go to Galilee and there they will see me. Then in John.20:17 Mary Magdalene sees the Resurrected Jesus, embraces Him, clinging to Him and is told, "do not try to hold me to the earth for I have not yet ascended to My Father but go to My brethren and say to them, "I AM ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God." In these 2 instances Women are used by the Lord as an Apostle. I might add this, "the first ones to see the resurrected Lord and be commissioned with a message from Him were all WOMEN!!! Secondly, Romans 16:1 tells us of Phoebe, an Elder (mature) woman of the church of Cenchrea, was sent by the Apostle Paul in the office of the Apostle (a sent one) to the church at Rome. Paul told the church (leadership and laity) to receive her and assist her in whaterver business she has need of. Phoebe is a woman Apostle. Thirdly, there is a husband and wife apostle team, Andronicus and Junia, Paul's countrymen and fellow prisoners, who are of note AMONG THE APOSTLES, who were in Christ before Paul was. Andronicus is male and Junia is female, they were married and they were both apostles. Finally, scripture does not bear up the statement "God has never called a woman to be an apostle." Quite the opposite, God has called women to the office of Apostle as well as the other ascension gift offices of Ephesians 4:11, for in Christ there is neither Jew nor Greek (Gentile) slave nor free, male nor female, God uses whomever He chooses.
