Southview Church of God Baby Bank — A New Chapter of Helping Families
For several years, Southview Church of God has been blessed to serve families in our community through our Baby Bank Ministry, providing diapers, formula, baby clothing, and other essential supplies to families during times of need.
After much consideration, we have made the decision to close the Baby Bank Ministry as a ministry operated directly by Southview Church of God. However, our commitment to helping families in our community is not ending—it is simply taking a new direction.
We are thankful to announce that Southview Church of God has donated all of our remaining Baby Bank supplies and resources to LIFEhouse Parenting Center & Clinic of Douglas. We believe wholeheartedly in the work they are doing and are excited to support them as they continue reaching mothers, fathers, babies, and families throughout our community.
We are also pleased that LIFEhouse will be assuming the Baby Bank name and continuing the heart and purpose behind this ministry. What began as an outreach of Southview will continue to have an opportunity to serve families through the work of LIFEhouse.
Southview Church of God is not simply donating our supplies and walking away. We are fully supporting this ministry and will continue to sponsor and support the work of LIFEhouse Parenting Center & Clinic of Douglas. We believe that by working together and supporting ministries that are already effectively serving our community, we can accomplish more and reach more people.
We also want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to every Southview volunteer who has served through our Baby Bank over the years. You have given your time, donated supplies, organized resources, prayed for families, and helped make sure that people in need were treated with kindness and dignity. Your service has mattered. Because of your faithfulness and compassion, many families have received help during some of the most difficult seasons of their lives.
To everyone who has donated diapers, formula, clothing, finances, or other supplies through the years—thank you. What you gave was more than a donation; it became a blessing in the hands of someone who needed it.
As we move forward, Southview Church of God will continue investing in LIFEhouse as well as other vision projects throughout our community. We want to be a church that does more than talk about loving our community—we want to demonstrate that love through our giving, serving, partnerships, and support.
So while one chapter of the Baby Bank at Southview is closing, the mission behind it is continuing. We still believe in loving people, helping families, strengthening our community, and working together to make a difference.
We are grateful for LIFEhouse Parenting Center & Clinic of Douglas and pray that God will continue to bless their leadership, volunteers, and the families they serve. We are honored to stand with them and support the work they are doing.
Thank you, Southview, for having a heart to give, a heart to serve, and a heart for our community.
Let’s continue to build the Kingdom together!
