Celebrate Recovery at Gracepointe Church Celebrate Recovery Celebrate Recovery is a weekly program that meets every Tuesday at GracePointe Church, 942 Bowens Mill Rd. SW, Douglas, Georgia, at 7 p.m.

The goal is to spend time together and celebrate God’s healing power in lives through the Eight Recovery Principles based on the beatitudes. This experience allows us to “be changed." We believe sharing our experiences, strengths, and hopes with one another opens the door to recovery. In addition we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our life’s problems. Through the Christ-centered bi

blical principles, we begin to grow spiritually and become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. This ministry is for people of all ages. It helps resolve pain in context of the church and is open to anyone who has hurts, habits, or hang-ups. As we progress through the biblical principles and 12 recovery steps, we discover our personal, loving, forgiving Higher Power – Jesus Christ.

So excited about what JESUS is doing in RECOVERY MINISTRIES in Coffee County. We love and support them all. I am bringing back an old saying of mine, “if Jesus is going to be there, I AM, TOO! “ Come to GracePointe Church Celebrate Recovery, Tuesday 6;30 for dinner, 7pm Worship and hear Lynn Polk, preach on Matthew 8:37-38, You Don’t Live There Anymore, and new song accompanying, Look What Jesus Did. Looking forward to seeing you all there. Let’s pack the house and point to JESUS.

Hallelujah. What a sacred picture of what Celebrate Recovery is meant to be — not merely a meeting, but a place where Jesus restores identity, heals hearts, and is openly glorified.
“This is CELEBRATING the recovery work Jesus has performed in this room tonight.”
That shifts the focus exactly where it belongs — not on personalities, emotions, or performance, but on Christ and His transforming work.

What a beautiful response we experienced together at Celebrate Recovery last night: a room where people stopped trying to manage appearances and became honest before God. When surrendered hearts meet authentic worship, ministry often becomes both deeply personal and deeply unified at the same time — exactly what we saw in prayer happening all across the room.
The phrase I used earlier became lived out in that room:
“God takes what is dry and releases what is living.”
And notice how many different ways He answered:
* through worship
* through prayer teams
* through prophetic encouragement
* through tears
* through peace
* through community
* through people finally admitting, “Jesus, I need help.”
That is one of the most powerful things about recovery ministry. People don’t have to pretend they’re fine. They come thirsty. And Jesus still meets thirsty people.
Isaiah 41:18 became more than a verse tonight:
I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys.

The image that stands out most to me is this: a room full of hurting people becoming expectant instead of guarded.

That changes atmospheres.

Last night will likely stay with many people for a long time — especially the ones who felt seen by God in a way they never had before.

Hinds' Feet on High Places really fit what happened: God meeting wounded people in low places and beginning to teach them how to walk differently.

And often the most powerful moments are exactly what we experienced: powerful… yet peaceful. Not chaos. Not striving. Just people becoming aware that Jesus is near.
