What a powerful Father’s Day at Covenant Church yesterday!

We worshiped together and heard a strong word about the Father’s love and how He restores the broken. It was a sweet time in God’s presence as we honored dads and celebrated our Heavenly Father.

Yesterday Pastor Gregory Pope shared a powerful word from the story of the Prodigal Son.

In Jewish culture, when a rebellious son came home, the townspeople would “break the pot” — declaring he was cut off and deserving of judgment. But the father didn’t let that happen. He ran to his son, protected him, and fully restored him to sonship.

Pastor Gregory reminded us that we were all broken because of sin, but through the blood of Jesus, God picks up our broken pieces and makes us whole again. He restores us and clothes us with the full armor of God.

Happy Father’s Day Covenant Family!

To every dad, stepdad, grandfather, and father figure — thank you for the love, leadership, and sacrifice you pour into your families.

Your role is so important. The way you love, protect, lead, and point your children to Jesus makes a lasting impact on generations. Thank you for showing up, for praying over your kids, and for being a reflection of our Heavenly Father’s love.

Today, we honor you and pray that you feel strengthened, appreciated, and filled with fresh grace for the journey ahead.
