Our KSE Family would like to extend a HUGE “Thank You” to Pastors Brian and Jaclyn Turner (and Rhema Grace) from Arise Dothan!

They and their church family blessed our students with supplies for the new school year! They didn’t know anyone here, but just pulled up the supply list and purchased the items in the just to help support our students and teachers!! That is love…that is community!

Before we can faithfully love our city, we must first let God shape us through His Word.

Every outreach, every conversation, every act of service begins here—with Scripture open and hearts surrendered to Jesus.

We believe God still speaks through his Word, transforms lives by his Spirit, and sends his people into the world with hope.

This is how movements begin.

Every box we packed today represents a simple way to love our city.

Tomorrow, we’ll deliver these supplies to local elementary schools to help meet practical classroom needs. Each box includes items teachers use throughout the year—paper towels, hand sanitizer, tissues, disinfecting wipes, hand soap, Ziploc bags, disinfecting spray, and other essential supplies.

These may seem like ordinary items, but we believe God often demonstrates his love through ordinary acts of generosity and service.

Would you pray with us for every student, teacher, administrator, and staff member who will begin a new school year? Pray for wisdom, protection, encouragement, and that they would know they are seen, valued, and loved.

This is part of why Arise exists—not simply to gather on Sundays, but to serve our community and point people to the hope of Jesus.

Because we believe Jesus is still changing lives.

We believe every person in Dothan is created in the image of God and deeply loved by Him. That’s why we’re committed to being more than a weekly gathering. We want to be a church that worships passionately, grows together in authentic community, makes disciples intentionally, and serves our city with humility.

Whether we’re gathered around Scripture and prayer, serving our neighbors, or simply sharing a meal with someone, our desire is the same: to participate in God’s kingdom by multiplying disciples across our city.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 “𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭-𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝”?

For some, the phrase brings hope. For others, it raises questions—or even concerns.

Unfortunately, the term has often been misunderstood, misused, or reduced to stereotypes. But what if being Spirit-filled is actually something far deeper, richer, and more biblical than many people realize?

In this article, I share what we mean when we use that phrase at Arise Dothan. It’s rooted in Scripture, centered on Jesus, and focused on living a life empowered by the Holy Spirit for God’s glory and the good of others.
