As salaamu alaikum,
Alhamdulillah for another successful year of Sister Clara Muhammad Summer Camp! We truly enjoyed getting to learn our campers’ personalities, and watch their minds expand, and see their faces light up with excitement for learning tajweed, baking, film, and the grand finale African drum circle. The Teacher/Auntie team has loved watching our returning campers grow these last few summers, as well as welcoming our newbies.
We would like to give thanks to

◦ Our amazing tajweed instructors: Hafiz Sister Haseenah and her mother.
◦ Sister Malikah Shabazz for joining the staff, and teaching the children a new skill, as well as another creative outlet.
◦ Our behind the scenes but always present sisters/teammates…from planning all the way through; Sabreen Hanifa for making the wheels turn, correspondence/communication; she was basically the entire HR department, and administrative staff. And, Najah Woods for providing our campers with home cooked lunches twice weekly throughout the entirety of camp.
◦ Everyone who purchased the confections that the children baked and sold after Jumah.
◦ And of course, the parents who entrusted us with your littles, as well as the babies themselves.
We couldn’t have done it without any of you. May Allah bless and reward you and your families, may camp have been a benefit to the children who attended, and may Allah swt bless us to continue this work to ensure a bright future for our next generation and generations to come. Ameen.
