🌳 CHILDHOOD HAS A BEAUTIFUL WAY OF FINDING JOY

It all started with Jacob.

He spotted a wooden ladder resting against one of the large trees at God's Village and decided it looked like the perfect place for an adventure.

A few moments later, Robert came running...

Then Ronald joined in...

Before long, the laughter echoed across the compound as three boys turned an ordinary ladder into one of the happiest moments of their day.

Watching them reminded me that childhood doesn't always need expensive toys or playgrounds.

Sometimes, all it takes is imagination...
A few good friends...
And the freedom to laugh.

These simple moments are part of what makes God's Village feel like home.

Every smile tells a story of hope, healing, and children rediscovering the joy of simply being children.

"Sometimes the best playground is simply childhood." ❤️

✨ THEN AND NOW: MEET FRED

The first photo was taken years ago when Fred was still a young boy finding his place in the world.

Today, when I look at him, I see something beautiful—not just a growing young man, but a life that has been nurtured through love, guidance, education, and faith.

At God's Village, transformation rarely happens overnight. It happens one meal, one lesson, one prayer, one act of kindness, and one day at a time.

Seeing Fred smile today reminds me why we continue this journey.

Every child deserves the opportunity to grow, dream, and discover the purpose God has placed within them.

Fred's story is a reminder that transformation often happens little by little, through consistent love, guidance, and care.

🙏 IN THE MIDDLE OF THE JOURNEY

There are moments when words become few and faith becomes everything.

During this time of worship and prayer, we were reminded that God has not abandoned us. He remains our strength, our hope, and our guide through every season of life.

No matter what burden you may be carrying today, take a moment to be still before the Lord. Lift your eyes above the challenges, focus on His goodness, and trust that He is already at work in ways you cannot yet see.

Sometimes the greatest miracles begin when we stop striving and simply place our confidence in Him.

💔 A Tough Day for Lydia

Today, Lydia was not feeling well.

She became weak, started shivering, and needed some extra care and attention. Thankfully, we were able to get her some paracetamol and make sure she was comfortable.

Watching a child suffer, even from a common illness, is never easy. As caregivers, we wish we could instantly take away every pain, fever, and discomfort our children experience.

Please keep Lydia in your thoughts and prayers as she rests and recovers.

Moments like these remind us how precious good health is and how important it is to have the basic supplies needed to care for children when sickness comes unexpectedly.

Thank you for caring about Lydia and the children at God's Village. ❤️

🙏 Please join us in wishing Lydia a quick recovery.

🌱 FROM SEED TO HARVEST AT GOD'S VILLAGE

Exciting things are happening in our garden!

Over the past few days, the children have been helping prepare both our nursery beds and the larger garden where the vegetables will eventually be transplanted.

This season we are planting:

🌿 Collards (Sukuma Wiki)
🍆 Eggplant
🥕 Carrots
🫑 California Wonder Sweet Peppers

Every day, the children help water the nursery beds and carefully watch for the first signs of growth. We are already excited to see tiny seedlings beginning to emerge from the soil.

Meanwhile, the larger garden has been cultivated and is now waiting for the young plants to become strong enough for transplanting.

What may look like a small garden project today represents something much bigger—a step toward producing more fresh vegetables for the children at God's Village while teaching them practical skills, responsibility, and the value of caring for God's creation.

We look forward to sharing the next stage of the journey as these seedlings continue to grow.

🌱 Which of these vegetables do you enjoy growing or eating the most?

🔥 STRENGTH FOR THE JOURNEY – ENDURING BY FAITH 🔥

Life is not always easy.

There are seasons when prayers seem delayed, burdens feel heavy, and the road ahead appears uncertain. Yet God reminds us that every trial has a purpose.

"Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness..."
— Hebrews 12:11 (KJV)

What feels painful today may be producing something beautiful tomorrow.

Do not give up because the answer has not come yet.

Do not lose heart because the journey is difficult.

God is still working behind the scenes.

"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."
— Galatians 6:9 (KJV)

Keep praying.

Keep believing.

Keep trusting.

Keep walking by faith.

The same God who brought you this far will give you strength for the rest of the journey.

🙏 Prayer: Lord, strengthen every weary heart today and help us endure by faith until we see Your promises fulfilled. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

❓ What area of your life is God teaching you to endure by faith right now?

❤️ HAPPY FATHER'S DAY ❤️

One of the greatest blessings God has given me is the privilege of being called "Dad" by children who now call God's Village home.

Fatherhood is not only about biology—it is about loving, guiding, protecting, encouraging, and being present every day.

Today I thank God for every child He has entrusted to our care and for every friend who helps us raise them in faith, hope, and love.

Happy Father's Day to all fathers, mentors, caregivers, and father figures around the world.

🌸 GONE ARE THE DAYS...

Not long ago, a kind gift helped us purchase sanitary pads for the girls at God's Village and also complete our menstrual hygiene incinerator.

Today, the incinerator stands as a reminder that dignity matters.

But while the facility remains, the monthly need continues.

With many growing girls in our care, the sanitary pads that were provided have already been used, and we are once again trusting God for provision so that no girl misses school or suffers through her monthly cycle without proper hygiene supplies.

For many girls, something as simple as a packet of sanitary pads means confidence, health, dignity, and the ability to continue learning without interruption.

Please keep our girls in your prayers as we continue working to provide these essential monthly supplies.

Every act of kindness helps protect the dignity of a child.

🌿 FROM RESCUE TO THE CLASSROOM

When Esther first came to God's Village, she was just one month old.

Today, she is growing, learning, and stepping into new opportunities through Vangrace Academy.

Every time we see children like Esther walking into a classroom, we are reminded that education is more than lessons and books—it is hope, confidence, and a brighter future.

Thank you to everyone who continues to pray for and support the children of God's Village. Your kindness is helping write stories of transformation every day.

❤️ Please keep Esther and all our children in your prayers as they continue to learn and grow.

🌿 BEHIND THE SCENES AT VANGRACE ACADEMY

Today we stepped into Mama Prossy's Kindergarten 2 classroom to see learning in action.

Using the LSU method (Listen • Say • Use), our children practice hearing words, speaking them clearly, and learning how to use them in everyday life.

From words like apple, pineapple, vegetables, carrots, soybeans, and food, each lesson helps build vocabulary, confidence, and a strong foundation for future learning.

Moments like these may seem simple, but they are helping shape the future of children who once had very limited opportunities.

Thank you to everyone who continues to stand with us as we nurture young minds and prepare them for a brighter future.

❤️ Which word do you remember learning first as a child?
