A HISTORIC MOMENT FOR THE GLOBAL METHODIST CHURCH ✨

With overwhelming support, the 2026 General Conference has OFFICIALLY ADOPTED the Articles of Faith, affirming our Wesleyan heritage and establishing a shared expression of the faith that unites us in Jesus Christ.

Together, these Articles speak to who we are, what we believe, and the faith we carry forward as one global connection.

May we hold fast to this faith, walk together in the power of the Holy Spirit, and faithfully proclaim Jesus Christ to a world in need of His grace. 🙏🌍

After Melinda and Messiah finished Dr. Paul encouraged the congregation to sing the chorus.

The last bit of blessing we received from the Das family was Melinda singing a duet with her father, Messiah during the offering. They sang ‘Yesy Yenaku Jeevan Than-has-rae’ (Tamil Sing) in their first language.

After Melinda and Jefferson finished the prelude they moved to the cello and harp and played ‘My Jesus I Love Thee’. So beautiful.

Today was a beautiful day of worship through music. God has blessed the Dhas family with the gift of music. We had a prelude of Melinda and Jefferson playing a duet of Morning Has Broken ( not all of it captured). Go to our YouTube channel to see/hear the whole song.

On Saturday October 17 from 10 am - 2 pm, Grace Community Church in Decatur will be hosting our HeArts and Crafts Fall Market. If you would like to rent a table to display your artwork or craft items, email [email protected] for an application.

Happy 250th Independence Day!

At Grace Comunity Church we are not only celebrating our country's freedoms we are celebrating our freedom in Christ.

Join us Sunday at 9:15 am as we begin a little early to celebrate our country as the body of Christ. We will hear the Chancel Choir sing a few patriotic songs with an encouragement to you to sing along. We'll hear our bell choir play Stars and Stripes Forever.

Then we will begin our regular worship service. A blend of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs. And of course a message from Dr. Arun Paul from the gospels of Luke and John, entitled "Celebrating Our Freedom in Christ". We would love to have you join us for this special celebration and worship.

We also invite you to the Lord's table for communion. We have an open table to those who repent of their sin, desire to draw near to God, and strive to live a life of obedience to Christ. Our consecreated elements are gluten-free and alcohol free.
