Today’s question is….

How much did Judas betray Jesus for?

Today’s answer is….

Jesus was sold for thirty pieces of silver.
( Matthew 26:14-16)

Jesus Christ came to Earth and was sold for 30 pieces of silver because that was the price of an aw-bad servant, an owned servant. He came as a aw-bad Servant with joy and gratitude and delight (Psalm 40:7,8). God does not want ser- vants who are unwilling to serve. God wants willing servants, servants who delight to do His Will. Half of our complaining is because we do not have the will to fellowship His suffering, and we are aggravated because God has not given us the will right now. Instead of complaining, we should say, “Father, I thank You that You are going to work in me the will and the do.” If we have spiritual maturity, we wait on the LORD. The High Calling of the 144,000 is to be aw-bad servants. And then He asks us to fellowship Him as aw-bad Servant, Who was worth 30 pieces of silver. So when we get our thirty pieces of silver in fellowship, we will know then that we are in the 144,000.

Today's question is.....

Paul and Silas were in prison. At midnight, what did they start doing, and what were the results?

The answer to today's question is.....

At midnight, Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God. Then there was an earthquake, and the prison was shaken, and the doors were opened, and everyone's bonds were loosed. (Acts 16: 25-26)

Paul and Silas, the servants of the Living God and His Son Jesus Christ, had been apprehended as vile, vexing preachers of idolatry. In a wild rage, the magistrates had torn off Paul’s and Silas’ clothes and, in fury, had scourged them and treated them as vagabonds and malefactors. After beating Paul and Silas with many stripes, they had fastened their feet in stocks and imprisoned them in the inner prison, which was a dark, dirty, cold dungeon. Satan’s design was to dishearten and discourage them, to make them weary and sickened as preachers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But Satan’s designs did not work. Paul and Silas sang, praised God, and prayed in the midst of their pains and afflictions. God heard their prayers and songs of praise as they sang unto Him, while their bleeding, aching bodies were yet in stocks. So He began to shake the prison with a great earthquake until everyone’s bands had been loosed, and the prison doors had swung open. This shows us the Power of prayer and praise at midnight. In the darkest hours of night, deliverance came speedily for these valiant soldiers of the Cross.

Who was thrown into a pit and then sold by his brothers?

The answer to today's question is.....
Joseph. (Genesis 37:23-28)

Joseph learned his lesson everywhere he stopped. Now how do we know that he learned his lesson when he wore a crown in Egypt? [Because he showed mercy to his brothers.] He forgave his brethren. He learned so much about God’s Headship that he saved the lives of all of those in his home that had risen up against him. He forgave them. They came down to Egypt to get food, and when they found out who he was, they thought, “He is really going to get us.” Then when their dad died, they said, “He was just good to us as long as Dad was alive.” Look at old Leviathan, lying, accusing. “He was only good to us as long as Dad lived, but now that Dad is dead, he is going to really get us.” When Joseph revealed himself to his brethren, he said, “[I] am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt. Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life” (Genesis 45:4,5). In other words, he was saying, “You did not send me to Egypt. My God is My Head. My God let you do what you did. It was part of His Plan to get me where I should be.

When Saul tried to put his armor on David, why did David say that he could not use it, and who was David getting ready to go fight?

Today's answer is......

David told Saul "I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them."
(1 Samuel 17:39)
David was getting ready to fight Goliath

Then David had to wade past the king himself. King Saul said, in so many words, “If you are going to go fight Goliath, take my armour.” He even put his armour on David, but David had not proved this armour. “[A]nd David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him” (I Samuel 17:39). David could not be strong in Saul’s armour. He took it off because he could not feel his strength coming up. So what did he do? He stripped down to weakness, and he went to a brook and picked up five stones, representing the five letters of the Name of JESUS. He said, “All I am going to need is just one letter of His Name. I be strong. I have the strength in my pocket here. I have the Name inside of me.” Beloved, you have the Name in you! You have the Name in you! You be strong! You be strong!

Who got swallowed by a big fish, and why?

The answer to today’s question is……

Jonah got swallowed by the big fish, because he was running from what God told him to do.

"We think we can run away from God, but He will have prepared things for us when we get to the place to which we run. How can we run from an omnipresent God? He was around before we were; He is around wherever we are, and He will be around wherever we go. An example of this Principle is the Prophet Jonah who fled from God’s presence because he did not want to preach to the wicked city of Ninevah, so he boarded a ship. Then, God sent fierce winds to rock the ship. When Jonah was awakened by the ship mates, he told them to cast him overboard. God had prepared a big fish to swallow Jonah, and he spent three days and nights in the fish’s belly. Then, the fish vomited him out on land, and Jonah went to preach, but he was still angry because God did not destroy Ninevah because they had repented. God’s Word says that all the Prophets will come and sit down with Abraham in the New City. That should give us hope. If the Prophet Jonah made it, you can make it.

Who was the Disciple that walked on water, and what happened when they took their eyes off Jesus?

The answer for today’s question is…..

Peter was the Disciple that walked on water, and he began to sink when he took his eye off Jesus

Jesus got in the ship, and everything became calm round about them. That was the reason. We get to looking at the light of Creation in the midst of the storm, in the midst of the darkness. And all God wants is a spotlight on the Son of God. He blots out everything else to where you see only Jesus in a new way. And then Jesus comes into your ship in a new way, and you have a new relationship with Him. Remember that Jesus told them to get into the ship. He constrained them. They did not want to go without Him. He said "Go on". Then He went up to pray to the Father to send them a storm. Then He came walking in the midst of the storm because they were going to learn a new side of Him now.

Today’s question

Jesus said Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost his savour, what it to happen to the salt?

The answer to today’s question is……

If the salt has lost his savour, it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men (Matthew 5:13)

"Since salt is a combination of sodium and chlorine and requires both components to exist, it pictures to us the combination of God’s Spirit and His Word that makes us the Spiritual Salt of the Earth. Unless we have both-God’s Spirit and His Word- we will not be that Spiritual Salt. The only place where we can preserve the Salt is in the Holy Place. If we are exposed too much to the things of the world and do not go to the Holy Place, we will lose the strength of the combination of God’s Spirit and His Word. The taste of salt makes us thirsty. When we lose our thirst to be in prayer and in the study of God’s Word, we are in a dangerous condition."

What a year it has been. It truly is amazing to see what the LORD is doing in people’s lives. Here is a snapshot from CGC Decatur. From our get togethers, graduation celebration, Christmas play practice, and who can forget Sis. Baham teaching us about CenterShot. Even had some goats show up to church,😂. I’m excited for what the LORD has done, is doing, and is going to do!!
