God has had a plan for family since the beginning.

There are 1,189 chapters in the Bible, and family is introduced in chapter 2 when God says, “It is not good for the man to be alone.”

That is because family is foundational to God’s plan for the world.

From God telling the serpent that Eve’s future descendant would crush his head, to Paul teaching that marriage reflects the relationship between Christ and the Church, family is woven throughout the story of Scripture.

God plans to use you and me to raise the next generation to know Him and make Him known.

So take your role in the family seriously. It matters more than you think!!

You have more influence than you think.

Think about the moments you have with your kids, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and even the children God places around you. Every conversation, every car ride, every meal, every ordinary moment can become an opportunity to spiritually strengthen the next generation.

As Scripture says:

“Teach them diligently to your children, and speak of them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
Deuteronomy 6:7
