The purpose of the Celebrate Recovery ministry is to bring healing to individuals for life’s hurts, hang-ups, and habits.

Celebrate Recovery is a biblically-based, Christ-centered recovery program that has a proven track record of helping people recover from life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Regardless of what a person’s habit or hang-up may be, this is a place for them. Celebrate Recovery is a distinctly Christian and proven recovery curriculum for anyone struggling with life issues. CR is a safe place to share, grow, and encourage each other as you find healing and restoration.

Hello CR Davis Family, as we work through our spiritual inventory lessons, we discover something that is often overlooked. It's the freedom we find on the inside in writing down our hurts & often for the first time. And then we find the courage to confess these heavy things in our hearts to God & to someone we trust. There is amazing healing that releases us from our pain & shame. This is indeed what James 5:16 (NLT) says, "Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other, so that you may be healed." So have courage, my friend, & do this hard work in your recovery.

CR Davis has a participant who loves to write, & we asked her to be our CR resident poet. Enjoy this first poem.

Hello again, Davis CR Family. Mark your calendars, it's our Dinner & Chip Night on April 30th (A reoccurring event every last Thursday of the month). Hello Davis CR Family, quick question: Have you ever felt lost or stuck, wondering if God even heard your last desperate prayer? You're not alone, my dear friend. We've all walked through the waiting seasons, wondering "God when will it be my time?"
But take heart my dear brothers & sisters, trust God's plan for it's in the waiting that we are forged & our defects made pure. Reflect on this promise (below) as you go through your week. Hope to see you on Thursday at 6:30 pm. God Bless.

Hello Davis CR Family. Each year, as a Celebrate Recovery, we walk through its 8 Principles—based on the Bible’s Beatitudes—& 12 Steps, each paired with biblical truth.
We are currently on Principle 4:
“Openly examine & confess my faults to myself, to God, & to someone I trust.”
& its corresponding Scripture is Matthew 5:8: “Blessed are the pure in heart.”
This principle aligns with Step 4:
“We made a searching & fearless moral inventory of ourselves,”
supported by Lamentations 3:40: “Let us examine our ways & test them, and let us return to the Lord.”
We warmly invite you to join us as we learn & practice these biblical recovery principles & steps together every Thursday at 6:30 PM at University Covenant Church in Davis. Hope to see you there, God Bless.
