❤️ Have you ever noticed the little red ribbons on the wooden cross in our camp photos?

If you’ve followed along with our summer photo albums, you’ve probably seen our wooden cross covered with small red ribbons and wondered what they mean.

Each red ribbon represents something far more valuable than decoration—it represents a life changed by Jesus Christ.

At the end of every week of camp, each camper who accepts Christ as their Savior or recommits their life to Him is invited to pin a red ribbon onto the cross. As the summer goes on, the cross becomes more and more covered, serving as a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness and the lives He continues to transform through Camp Maranatha.

By the end of the summer, what began as a simple wooden cross is overflowing with red ribbons—each one representing a child who made the greatest decision of their life.

This is why we do what we do. The games, the laughter, the adventures, and the memories all point to this moment: sharing the hope of Jesus.

Please continue praying for every camper who walks through our gates—that the decisions made here will grow into a lifelong relationship with Christ. ❤️✝️

💙🍽️ 30 Years of Serving with Love – Thank You, Mrs. Linda!

For 30 summers, Mrs. Linda has been the heart of our camp kitchen, serving thousands of campers, counselors, and staff with a smile and a whole lot of love.

If you’ve ever been to Camp Maranatha, chances are you remember her famous sugar biscuits or looked forward to her chicken and rice. Those meals have become camp traditions, but it’s the love she pours into every plate that makes them unforgettable.

Camp has truly been a family affair for Mrs. Linda. She’s spent her summers here for three decades, and in many ways, she’s raised her own children right alongside generations of campers who have come through these gates.

Mrs. Linda, thank you for your faithful service, your servant’s heart, and for making Camp Maranatha feel like home for so many.

💙☀️ And just like that, another unforgettable summer at Camp Maranatha has come to a close.

What an incredible season it has been! From the laughter and adventures to the worship, friendships, and life-changing moments, we are so thankful for every camper, counselor, staff member, volunteer, and family who made this summer so special.

Most importantly, we’ve had the privilege of watching God move in powerful ways. We’ve seen lives changed, hearts encouraged, faith strengthened, and friendships rooted in Christ. We know the impact of this summer will continue long after campers have returned home, and we are grateful for all the Lord has done.

While summer camp may be over, Camp Maranatha doesn’t stop here! Throughout the fall, winter, and spring, we continue to host church retreats, youth groups and special events that allow people of all ages to experience the beauty of camp and grow in their faith.

💙🌞 We’ve reached our last full day of camp, and this week has been one for the books!

Over the past several days, these campers have built new friendships, experienced exciting adventures, spent meaningful time in worship, and created memories they’ll carry long after they leave. Watching them grow in their faith and confidence has been such a blessing.

As we enjoy these final moments together, we’re praying each camper heads home knowing they are deeply loved, encouraged in their walk with Christ, and excited to share all that God has done this week.

3️⃣ days down, and what an incredible week it’s been!

Today was packed with fun, adventure, laughter, and meaningful moments as campers continued making memories that will last a lifetime. Whether they were enjoying activities, building friendships, or spending time in worship, it was another day full of opportunities to grow in faith and confidence.

This evening, we were blessed to welcome our camp families for Parent Visitation Night. Thank you to everyone who came and worshiped with us! We love sharing a small glimpse of what God has been doing in the hearts of our campers throughout the week. ❤️

We’re so thankful for all the memories being made and can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store!
