So learnings from last Sunday that attached to my thoughts today are still the fact that the cost of the first building was a mere $495.00!!! And 1918 the church purchased its hymn books. And wow the year 56 hymnal was seen to be too modern so there were actually conflicts with that. What learnings made you think: Awe? Amazing in the history of the church and the previous earlier years???

I just found this wonderful old list of all of the pastors since the beginning. I will check with Bro Sam to go through the records to make sure we can fill in after 1990 as I believe we had 1 or 2 different pastors before we were blessed to receive Bro Sam Tullock back.

Altoga Baptist Church 134th anniversary on May 3. Bro Sam Tullock who also serves as a History teacher at the Collin College provided the congregation with studies of the music styles known to the earlier settlers of the 'church' as attentive ears listened on.

Yesterday Altoga Baptist Church celebrated 134 years with a wonderful anniversary event of the history of the original ancestors. Services were followed by a wonderful home cooked meal provided by the church members. A beautiful day in the Lord with alot of sharing of memories and times and where we are today.

I plan to bring what I have collected so far of this authentic 'Altoga Baptist Church' informal scrapbook (as I am sure as I go through old pictures I will find more to add)but I wanted to go ahead and share these ahead of this special 134th anniversary weekend.

I first immediately thought this was our old Altoga Baptist Church but have located yet another photo in my parents millions of old photos and it says STONEY POINT Cemetery??? I will keep looking for true old Altoga Church pictures....
