Second Chance

Second Chance Second Chance Baptist church is an independent Baptist church that ministers to the homeless and those struggling with addictions.

At Second Chance Baptist Church we believe we exist to fulfill these five purposes:

1.Worship: We celebrate God’s presence around us and simply because He is worthy
2.Evangelism: We communicate God’s saving Word to those hurting around us
3.Fellowship: We coordinate God’s family to function together in all things
4.Discipleship: We educate God’s people through sound Bible teaching
5.Service: We

demonstrate God’s love to our community through real actions

Each of these purposes is guided by the overall purpose of helping people take their next step toward Christ. THE BUS MINISTRY is the place where the rubber meets the road, by serving those without transportation. The bus ministry picks up twice a week; once on Sunday for the homeless, and again on Wednesday at Homeward Bound Rehabilitation Center. THE CHURCH KITCHEN is committed to making a wonderful meals, including pastries, coffee, and a breakfast feast for the guests of God's house. THE CLOTHES CLOSET offers gently worn clothing, hygiene and food items to those who have found themselves in need through a variety of life changing circumstances.

🎓🏀 Senior Spotlight: Silas Myers 🏀🎓

Since first grade, Silas has been part of the LCA family, and over the years we have had the privilege of watching him grow into an outstanding young man and leader. As captain of the varsity basketball team, he has led with determination, humility, and a steady presence that has impacted teammates, classmates, and younger students alike.

Silas has brought so much energy, heart, and school spirit to LCA through the years, and it is hard to imagine these halls and gym without him. While we are proud of all he has accomplished, we are even more proud of the character and faith he carries with him into this next chapter.

🎓Senior Spotlight: Josslynne Sturdivant 🎓

From the little girl who first walked through the doors of LCA in Pre-K to the compassionate young woman she is today, it has been such a joy to watch Josslynne grow over the years. As captain of the varsity volleyball team, she has led with determination, kindness, and a heart that reflects Christ both on and off the court.

Josslynne has been part of the LCA family for so many milestones, memories, friendships, and moments of growth, and her presence will truly be missed. While it is hard to imagine these halls without her, we are so excited to see where God leads her next.
