Dacula UMC's "Chalk the Church" event is planned for Wednesday, June 21st at 6:30pm-WEATHER PERMITTING! This fun for all (children, youth, adults, & families) event is open to everyone! Bring chalk, spray bottles of water, paint brushes, something to sit on, and any other supplies you think you will want to turn our parking lot into a chalk art masterpiece. Each person/group will be assigned a parking space to work in upon check in. We'll have extra chalk on hand and hydration stations set up with ice and water, but feel free to bring your own cooler with snacks and drinks.
If the weather does not cooperate on the 21st, we will plan to host this event one week later on Wednesday, June 28th at the same time. Be on the lookout for cancellation to be announced on Facebook and Instagram by noon on the 21st should inclement weather be an issue.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Carabao
This Christmas help the children and youth ministries of Dacula UMC give the gift of a Carabao (aka water buffalo) to a family in need through www.heifer.org. Heifer International’s mission is to work with communities to end world hunger and poverty. Our goal is to collect $350 to purchase a water buffalo, a gift of nutrition package and a family farm care package in time for Christmas. Rachal Little and Whitney Pope will be collecting donations during children and youth programming as well as online through December 17th. Thank you for your support and Merry Carabao….oh whoops, Merry Christmas.

For most of us, the idea of memorizing the Bible feels more like a chore or obligation than anything else. But the Bible actually has a lot of important, powerful things to say to help us handle life a little better. As we look back at Psalm 119 this week, we’ll see that when we capture God’s Word not only in our minds but in our hearts as well, we’ll be stronger because of it.

The Bible is the number one bestseller of all-time, but the idea of reading it isn’t always that appealing. Maybe that’s because for a lot of us, we’re just not sure that what’s written in the pages is all actually true. This week, we’ll take a look at a few reasons we can trust that the Bible is not only true, but also something we can read and understand with clarity as well.
