MIDWEEK UPLIFT/ENCOURAGEMENT/CHALLENGE:

*This is what I've been and continue to pray for our nation and world! A nation-wide and world-wide revival and spiritual awakening!

The world will tell you the Christian church is fading quietly into the background. They clearly aren't looking at the shores of Florida. When you see thousands of people stepping into the Atlantic to declare Jesus as Lord, you realize God is still moving mightily. This is the exact revival we’ve been praying for, proving that the light shines brightest when the culture around us gets dark.

THE SERMON NOTE:

-Leslie Flynn ("Humorous Incidents and Quips"):

-If you're humble, you don't write the book on how humble you
are, with twelve life-sized pictures in it (being a person who is humble isn't about drawing attention to how humble you are; that's arrogance or pride; rather; it's about "living" with humility; people don't find out you're a humble person because you tell them; they found you're a humble person because you show them (you live it))."

MIDWEEK UPLIFT/ENCOURAGEMENT/CHALLENGE:

-Jonathan Edwards (quoted in Frank S. Mead, 12,000 Religious Quotations):

-"The best protection one can have from the devil and his schemes is a humble heart."

*During the course of the summer we will be going through a sermon series studying the Beatitudes. We will be looking at different examples of how Jesus teaches and reminds us of how blessed we are and can be. The challenge is realizing this no matter what comes our way or what we deal with or endure through!
We invite everyone out to be encouraged, challenged, and blessed by God's Word!
God bless you!

THE SERMON NOTE:

-The problem that we or anyone will always run into is that when or if we try or make the effort to defeat the spiritual forces of evil on our own strength, we will undeniably and miserably fail every single time; rather, we must fully and completely rely on the Mighty Name of Jesus and what are God's Angel Armies (if we are a devoted follower of the Lord, we have to remember and understand that this battle we're fighting is ultimately not of this world; it's in the spiritual or heavenly realm all around us; we without a doubt need God's Heavenly Army, and Army of Angels that have the full support and authority of its Mighty Leader, Jesus Christ, that overpowers and overthrows all other leaders and armies)!

MIDWEEK UPLIFT/ENCOURAGEMENT/CHALLENGE:

-Ephesians 6:10-12: "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms!"

THE SERMON NOTE:

-Luke 23:32-34: Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with Him (Jesus) to be executed. When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified Him, along with the criminals-one on His right, the other on His left. Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." (Jesus, even after everything He had gone through, how He had been treated so horribly, flogged or beaten beyond recognition; a massive and sharp crown of thorns crushed down over His head, creating massive and continual blood loss-being spat upon-completely humiliated; being crucified to a massive wooden cross-continually pulling Himself up and down to get a breath-dying from suffocation and heart congested failure-an overwhelming loss of blood; yes; after all of this, before His physical death, He looked out at the crowd , He looked at you, at me, and still forgave us all; He could have called down a multitude of angels to come and get Him off that cross, but He didn't; His unconditional love for us kept Him there).

MIDWEEK UPLIFT/ENCOURAGEMENT/CHALLENGE:

-Joshua 1:9: God said, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go!"

MIDWEEK UPLIFT/ENCOURAGEMENT/CHALLENGE:

-Psalm 62:2: "Truly He (God) is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken!"

05/11/2026

THE SERMON NOTE:

-Honestly, "What/Why would we apologize/what would cause us to apologize for speaking from our mouth and lips the One (Jesus) Who laid down His life for the sins of the whole world-what's been done for us and a free gift of salvation offered to anybody and everybody?" (fear of consequence of people in the world in positions of authority; Mel Gibson: Actor and Movie Director-"Passion of the Christ"-was asked-"Why didn't you tone down the brutality and graphic material of the film?" He said, "I did!" Isaiah-"Jesus was beaten beyond recognition!" A source (Dr. Jeremiah Johnston): "Jesus was probably/possibly flogged/beaten around as many as 700 times-every inch of His body-nearly to death).
