We thought it would be fun to help you get to know some of the people who make Connersville feel like home. ❤️

And we’re starting with our Lead Minister, Nick Jones!

Nick grew up in Versailles and attended UK, where he earned his B.A. in English. He met his wife, Brandy, after college while attending Southland, and this October they’ll celebrate 20 years of marriage!

His love for ministry started pretty early. At about four years old, Nick was helping his dad lead singing at a local nursing home and telling Bible stories with his raccoon puppet named Charlie. 🦝

One of the things Nick loves most about ministry today is simply getting to be part of people’s lives and supporting them through different circumstances, as well as exploring God’s Word together and figuring out how to actually live it.

We’ll let the graphic tell you the rest, including a few things you may not know about Nick!

We’re looking forward to introducing you to more of the people who make up our Connersville family in the weeks ahead. ❤️

Introducing From Sunday to Monday. 🤍

Sunday’s message isn’t meant to stay inside the church walls.

Each Monday, we’ll share a few reminders from Sunday’s message and one simple way we can carry what we heard into our homes, workplaces, schools and everyday lives throughout the week.

Yesterday, Nick reminded us that joy comes from partnering together for the gospel. As we step into a new week, may we carry the attitude of Jesus into every place God has put us.

What would it look like for our students to not just hear God’s Word on Sunday, but learn how to dig into it for themselves?

Our Middle & High School students are beginning a 13-week journey through the book of James on Sunday mornings!

Each student will receive a study guide to help them walk through James throughout the week. Parents are encouraged to come alongside them, work through the lessons together, talk about what they’re learning, or simply help keep them accountable along the way.

And if your student has to miss a Sunday? They can keep going. The goal is for everyone to stay connected to the study and continue growing together, even when life gets busy.

James is practical, challenging and incredibly relevant to the lives our students are living right now. We’re excited to see what God does through these next 13 weeks.

Have a middle or high school student who hasn’t been coming regularly? This is a great time to jump in. We’d love to have them! ❤️
