Salem Baptist Church

Salem Baptist Church A Church Committed to Scripture Salem Baptist Church is a community church located in the Bethel/West Point area. He is now currently at the right hand of God.

Our goal is to evangelize the lost and edify the saints. One way we do that is through expository preaching. We are committed to teaching the Scriptures line by line, phrase by phrase, and verse by verse. We truly believe that if we teach the Bible
the way it was written, then God will apply His truths to our lives. Our service times are as followed: Sunday School-10AM, Sunday morning worship 10:

45, Sunday evening worship-5:30PMWednesday Night Service-6:30 P.M. What we believe:
God-There is one God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, Holy Spirit who are co-equal in their nature.

-
Bible-The inspired word of God that is infallible. There are 66 books that make up the Old and New Testament which are the complete and the finalized revelation of God.

-
Jesus-The Son of God, promised Messiah, born of virgin birth, lived a perfect life, and was both God and man. His death on the cross satisfied God's demands for a perfect sacrifice. His death also provided redemption and forgiveness for all who repent of sin and place their faith in Him. After His death, He rose from the grave, and ascended into heaven. He will eventually return to the earth and set up His kingdom.

-
Holy Spirit-The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit convicts people of sin, regenerates men, indwells, seals, sanctifies, leads, and fills the believer, which enables man to follow the commands of Scripture by walking in the Spirit. We believe that ecstatic gifts of the Holy Spirit (speaking in tongues, divine revelation, healing through men, casting out demons) ceased as the apostles died out.

-
Man-Man is a sinner who is totally depraved and can do nothing to save himself. Man is bound for eternal separation from God in hell if he doesn't repent of his sins and trust Jesus as Savior.

Future Events-Jesus will return!

The idea is, if Christ doesn't return, I have no consequences to fear! However, Peter makes a strong case for the return of Christ, giving 4 reasons in the first few verses of 2 Peter 3 why Christ will return.
