In Mark 4:30-32 Jesus describes the mustard seed as the smallest of seeds. It will literally fit on the end of your finger like a speck. But it becomes the largest of garden plants and invites birds to find shelter and build nests.

This is what the church described in scripture is like. Small, seemingly weak, unimpressive, but the strength is not in the size of the seed but in the power of the life inside!

At Sweetwater Church on Sunday I spoke about the mustard seed. That single small organism becomes the largest of the garden plants when the seed is planted into the ground and dies.

The first half of the message was about the mustard seed and the movement of the early believers in spite of their overwhelming minority. The recording was not good so I whittled it down to the last few minutes of an analogy of TOD’S TERRIFIC TACKLESHOP. Give it a listen, only 14 minutes, and see where we can go from here.

A room full-every table taken- worshipping God at Cars and Coffee in Christ this morning at Bourbon Gospel. Michael and Alisa Farren leading, and I shared a message about the Friendship of God after.

Sweetwater Church did not meet today because of 5th Sunday month, so several were part of this gathering. SWC will be back in full next Sunday at 11:30 at 1423 Culleoka Hwy.

Sunday was a historic day at Sweetwater Church. We had our first wedding as part of our Sunday gathering!

Herb “Lew” Lewis and Kathy Harris were married and welcomed as Mr. and Mrs. by their church family. We praise the Lord for such a memorable day, which was topped off with Boot Stompin’ BBQ from Columbia with a Sharemeal.

Miss a Sunday miss a lot!
