Not every prayer is answered immediately.
Not every answer looks the way we imagined.

But delay does not mean God has forgotten you.

Sometimes God uses the waiting season to shape our hearts, strengthen our faith, and draw us closer to Him. In those moments, we are called to:

• Trust His will over our own
• Stay rooted in His Word
• Pray with faith and humility
• Release unforgiveness
• Keep seeking Him without giving up

God sees what we cannot see. He knows the bigger picture, and His plans for us are always rooted in love and purpose.

And sometimes, the greatest answer God gives is this:
“My grace is sufficient for you.”

Keep praying. Heaven is listening. 🤍

The story of David's transgression in 2nd Samuel 11 highlights three crucial missteps that culminated in his downfall:

(1) neglect of duty, as he should have been at war but remained in Jerusalem;

(2) indulgence in idleness, which facilitated temptation; and

(3) lack of self-restraint in the face of temptation. To avoid similar failures, one must be cognizant of these factors and remain spiritually vigilant. 🙏 🙏

2nd Samuels 10 : 7-13

"David's commander, Joab, was faced with an intimidating confederation of enemies.
Rather than panic, or trust in his own wisdom and strength, Joab took his stand under the banner of the LORD.
Notice Joab's testimony: "May the LORD do what seems good to Him."
No matter what battle we face, may we take our stand under the banner of the LORD with a similar confession: "May the LORD do what seems good to Him."

A special day of christian fellowship at church as we learned the art of pizza baking, guided by our pastor as the head chef. Grateful for moments of learning, laughter, and community.

Sometimes we look a lot like Martha of Bethany—busy, responsible, doing all the things for Jesus… but not actually being with Him.

And His gentle words to Martha still speak to us:
“You are worried and distracted by many things… but only one thing is needed.”

May we learn to slow down and sit at His feet again. 🙏 Luke 10: 38-42

Due to the upcoming winter weather conditions, we have decided to cancel our in-person services at Columbia SDA Church this weekend to ensure everyone’s safety.
While we may not be gathering in our sanctuary, we know that "where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there in the midst of them" (Matthew 18:20).
We encourage you to use this time for rest, personal devotion, and perhaps a phone call to check in on a neighbor or fellow member.

Praying for your warmth and safety. God bless!

4 Lessons from Judges 9 — The Story of Abimelech.

Abimelech wanted power so badly, he destroyed his own family to get it. But his story didn’t end well.

Lesson 1️⃣ — Pride leads to downfall. When we chase power instead of purpose, we lose ourselves.

Lesson 2️⃣ — God’s justice never fails. Evil might seem to win for a moment, but God always balances the scales.

Lesson 3️⃣ — Choose your leaders wisely. The people followed Abimelech for the wrong reasons — and paid the price.

Lesson 4️⃣ — Violence breeds violence. The same way he rose to power was how he fell.

Remember: what we build without God’s blessing will never stand.
