Day 3: The Power of Your Testimony

Reading: John 12:9-11; Revelation 12:11

Devotional: Lazarus didn't have theological training or a preaching gift. He couldn't heal anyone or perform miracles. Yet crowds flocked to see him, and many believed in Jesus because of him. Why? Because he had a testimony. He could simply tell people what God had done in his life—and that was enough to change everything.

You have the same power. Satan fears your testimony because when you share what Jesus has done for you, you rob hell of souls. You don't need to be a Bible scholar or have all the answers. You just need to tell your story: how Jesus found you, changed you, saved you, and gave you hope. The religious leaders panicked not when Jesus preached, but when ordinary people started sharing their experiences. Your testimony is your weapon. When normal, everyday Christians get bold about what God has done, the enemy begins to shake.

She doesn't bring Jesus leftovers, she gives him everything. This is a biblical discipline we don't like to talk about a lot because the way that this is most clear in the life of a Christian is through a Christian no-no word in the modern American church, and that is tithing.

Day 2: Worship That Costs Everything

Reading: John 12:3-8; Mark 14:3-9

Devotional: Mary's act of worship was extravagant and costly—worth an entire year's wages poured out in a single moment. She didn't bring Jesus her leftovers; she brought her treasure. She didn't hold back, calculating what was "reasonable." She gave everything because she understood Jesus was worth everything.

True worship always costs us something. It might cost your pride, your comfort, your plans, or your reputation. It might mean giving God your first 10% before you know if the bills are covered. It might mean surrendering your Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights when the world offers other options. There is no such thing as wasted worship. You will never be able to give enough, praise enough, or surrender enough to repay Jesus for pouring out His precious blood for you. What is your alabaster jar today?

When normal, everyday people, you and me, start to carry the gospel to the world, Satan begins to panic. You have the power to make the gospel known and to bring other people into relationship with Jesus. You can literally rob hell of souls.

Day 1: What Sits at the Head of Your Table?

Reading: John 12:1-3; Matthew 6:19-21

Devotional: At the dinner in Bethany, Jesus sat at the head of the table—the place of honor. This gathering was filled with people whose lives had been transformed by Him: Simon the healed l***r, Lazarus the resurrected, Martha the servant, Mary the worshiper. Each person's testimony pointed to Jesus as most important.

Today, examine your own life. What truly sits at the head of your table? Is it your career, your bank account, your family, or your hobbies? These aren't inherently wrong, but when they take Jesus' rightful place, they become idols. Words are shallow—your actions reveal what you truly treasure. If Jesus is truly Lord, your schedule, finances, relationships, and priorities will reflect that reality. Don't just say Jesus is first; live like it's true.
