Harvest Fellowship

Harvest Fellowship The atmosphere is warm, unimposing, and energetic. The people love Jesus, and are all growing in their faith. Dress casually or dress up, we do both.

Come join us as you are and worship our great God with us at 10:00 AM Sunday Mornings. What to expect at a service: Dress casually or dress up, people do both. Expect someone to greet you at the door and help you get situated (with childcare, to discover the Welcome Center, to grab a cup of coffee at our coffee bar or to just find a seat). We will sing both contemporary and hymn worship, with gui

tars, voices, and drums. After worship, we will take a break to greet one another and to allow parents to drop off their children in their classrooms. Then refill your coffee to come and hear teaching from Scripture that is geared toward your heart, mind, and feet. The worship service ends with a couple more songs. Feel free to slip in quietly or reach out. Come join us, as you are, and worship our great God with us.

Ephesians 5:1-6
Title: “Love” is not always LOVE

1. Learn to Love by Looking to God’s Love as our Example. (1-2)

?- Am I surrendered to God’s definition of love, marriage, and faithfulness?
?- Do I regularly surrender my self-serving desires for the glory of God and the benefit of others?

2. Learn to Love by Rejecting the World’s Version of Love. (3-5)

• Staying pure in our relationships

• Being guarded in our speech

• Seeing our salvation define our lifestyle.

?- Is there sin in my past that I need to confess to the Lord and walk in the joy of His forgiveness?
?- How have I allowed the brazenness of our culture affect my attitude toward sin or what I desire?
?- Is my lifestyle contradicting what God has designed and commanded?

3. Learn to Love by Repelling Excuses for Sinful Living. (6)

?- Do I gravitate toward teachers that make me feel more comfortable with sin and temptation?

Ephesians 4:30-5:2
Title: Which Responses Will You Choose?
Don’t harm your relationship with God with unrepentant sin. Instead, replace angry responses with
godly responses. And by this grow in Christ by loving those you’re tempted to loathe.
1. Don’t Harm Your Relationship with God with Unrepentant Sin. (30)
?- If I don’t feel close to God, who moved?
?- Romans 8:16 states, “The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.”
What do I sense from the Holy Spirit when I grieve Him?
2. Replace Angry Responses with Godly Responses. (31-32)
?- What do I think when I am justifying staying angry?
a. They should’ve known I’d be upset.
b. If I forgive them, they’ll just keep doing the same thing.
c. If I forgive them, it feels like there’s no consequence for them.
d. What’s the point of forgiving if I can’t forget what they did?
3. Grow in Christ by Loving Those You’re Tempted to Loathe. (1-2)
?- How could this angering situation be an opportunity for me to grow closer to Christ?
?- How would I bene;t from putting my eyes on my relationship with God instead of on this problem
relationship?
