We’re looking forward to Valentine’s Day, Super Bowl Sunday, and (more than anything else) a great month of ministry with you and your family!
Here are a few things coming up in our ministry . . .

Adventure Groups Wednesday 6:00-7:30
Join us Wednesday nights for fun, fellowship, and community! We are starting our new series Core 52 Student edition on February 1st. We have groups for all ages so the whole family can engage in mid-week worship and connection! Kids Groups 6:00-7:30 - Other Groups 6:30-7:30

A 4-WEEK SERIES FROM THE NEW TESTAMENT ON
JESUS’ TEACHINGSSERIES OVERVIEW: Up is Down. Right is Left. Cold is Hot. That’s right, we’re celebrating opposite day this whole month (or should we say, not celebrating? This could get confusing!) This series will allow kids to talk about the counter-culture things Jesus said. It sounds impossible to believe that struggles bring us closer to Jesus or that our enemies can teach us about love. However, these beautiful opposites remind us that a God we can’t see is always with us and that it’s better to follow Jesus than our own instincts. Happy Opposite Day!

Donate blood at our upcoming blood drive here at New Hope on Sunday, January 8th from 12:00 pm-03:25 pm in The Table (FLC) and help local patients enjoy a happy, healthy New Year.

Blood Drive Facts:
-Seventeen percent of people who don’t give blood cite “never thought about it” as the main reason for not donating, while 15 percent say they’re “too busy.”
-Shortages of all blood types most often occur during summer and winter holidays.
-If just 1 percent more of Americans donated blood, shortages would disappear.
-About 37 out of every 100 Americans are eligible to donate blood – but only 3 to 4 people donate each year

Hi families, I just wanted to let you know that tonight December 7 we will be canceling our Wednesday night kids group. We have had many sick kids in the past week and a half in our children’s ministry as well as the Newhope preschool and most of the adults groups are not meeting this evening so we have decided to cancel kids group. With the flu being so rapid and having so many sick kids come through the building these past few days, I’m going to take this opportunity to clean and disinfect all of our kids ministry classrooms so that they can be ready for Sunday morning. We hate for kids to miss out on church but please remember to keep kids home if -
-Fever in the past 24 hours
- Vomiting in the past 24 hours
- Diarrhea in the past 24 hours
- Chills
- Sore throat
- Strep Throat (must have been taking an antibiotic for at least 24 hours before being around others.

We hope see everyone Sunday as we continue our series Joy to the World.

Here are a few things coming up in our ministry . . . Remember to check the bulletin every Sunday for church-wide upcoming events.

Adventure Groups: Wednesdays 6:30-7:30 pm
Join us for mid-week fellowship! We have groups for all ages, nursery – 5th grade as well as many adult groups that teens are also welcome to join! Doors open at 6:00 pm and students are welcome to hang out and play in the gym (basketballs are left out for students to use before check-in) or the table (FLC) with their parents until check-in at 6:20. (Teachers are not responsible for students until check-in and students are not allowed in classrooms without a teacher present.)

No Adventure Groups: November 23th Happy Thanksgiving

Christmas Banquet and Kids Take over Rehearsal: December 3rd, 3:30 pm-6:00 pm
Preschool -5th grade will have a fun night rehearsing our 3 Christmas banquet songs and running through everything for Kids Take Over Sunday. There will be food and games as well.

Kids Take Over Sunday: December 4th 10:30 am
Our 1st -5th-grade students will be taking over the worship service! Students will perform one of our Christmas banquet songs with the Preschoolers. Our 1st – 5th graders will help with communion mediation, passing out communion, providing scripture during the service and so much more. Please plan to have students at our December 3rd rehearsal and at church by 10:00 am that Sunday if they are participating. If your 1st – 5th grade is not participating it will be a family worship Sunday for them.

A 4-WEEK SERIES FROM THE OLD TESTAMENT ABOUT THE PROPHETS SERIES OVERVIEW: Kids love to be in the kitchen. They may even love helping prepare something delicious! Having a plan or a recipe usually helps, too. Just like having a plan in the kitchen helps the meal we hope to enjoy, the stories of the Old Testament prophets are like a cookbook that helped people prepare for the Savior that God would send one day. Even though there's no exact recipe, kids will find that they can prepare themselves for a loving relationship with God when they 1) trust God, 2) talk to God, 3) listen to God, and 4) leave the results to God.

🚘 Trunk or Treat is this Sunday, October 30th, 4-6pm and we need volunteers!
We have a goal of 40 trunks and so far we have 15 signed up We are also hoping to have inflatables and snacks indoors, but we won’t be able to do that if we don’t have volunteers to help run the inflatables and snack tables. With big events like this it’s easy to think that we don’t need your help because other people have it covered, but we need all hands on deck if we are going to put on an amazing outreach event for Montgomery County…that includes you. This is an amazing opportunity for us to reach and serve so many families that are going to be on our property this Sunday. We will also have the Colts game streaming on T.Vs so you wont have to miss out on the game. Sign up to serve through the Church Center app or contact Angela at [email protected].
