Learning to recognize the cycle of pain:

Hurts – painful life experiences (loss, abuse, rejection, trauma) that leave deep emotional wounds.

Hang-ups – thoughts and attitudes formed to cope with that pain (fear, anger, shame, resentment, control).

Habits – unhealthy behaviors used for relief that can eventually take over (addictions, compulsions, destructive patterns).

What starts as pain can become patterns—but healing begins with honesty about all three.

Happy Easter, Celebrate Recovery family ✝️🌅

Today is a reminder that no matter how broken, stuck, or lost we’ve been… the tomb is empty.

Because Jesus rose, there is hope for healing.
Because Jesus lives, there is freedom from our hurts, habits, and hang-ups.
Because of the cross and the resurrection, your story is not over.

Romans 6:4 reminds us that just as Christ was raised from the dead, we too may live a new life.

So today, breathe that in—
New life is possible.
Freedom is possible.
Recovery is possible.

He is risen… and that means we don’t have to stay where we were.

Grateful to walk this journey with you all ❤️

Recovery reminds us that we don’t walk this journey alone. We walk it with God, with each other, and with hope that tomorrow can be better than today.
