PLEASE NOTE: Mass is not celebrated on Good Friday in the Catholic Church. Also, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the Stations of the Cross are not prayed formally on Good Friday in the parishes. The Stations of the Cross may of course be prayed privately on this day. Both parishes will be open after the Veneration of the Cross for those who wish to remain for prayer.

Holy Saturday April 4, 8:30 pm Solemn Easter Vigil Mass – will be celebrated at both SJ & SJD at 8:30pm. Fr. Brooks will celebrate the Easter Vigil at St. John. A guest priest will celebrate the Easter Vigil at St. Juan Diego. The Easter Vigil at SJD will be a Spanish language liturgy.

The Lighting of the Paschal Fire and Candle, with procession, will take place at both parishes at the opening of the Easter Vigil Mass at 8:30pm. Please note that the usually scheduled Vigil Mass at SJ (5:00pm) is not celebrated on Holy Saturday. Also, please note that confessions will not be heard on Holy Saturday at either parish.

Mass will be celebrated at the regularly schedule times in the parishes for a Sunday – 8:30am SJ (English language), 10:15am SJD (English language), 11:30am SJD (Spanish language)

NOTA IMPORTANTE: En la Iglesia Católica no se celebra la Misa el Viernes Santo.

Asimismo, la Adoración al Santísimo Sacramento y el Vía Crucis no se rezan formalmente en las parroquias durante el Viernes Santo. Por supuesto, el Vía Crucis puede rezarse de manera privada en este día. Ambas parroquias permanecerán abiertas después de la Veneración de la Cruz para aquellos que deseen quedarse a orar.

Sábado Santo, 4 de abril, 8:30 p. m.: Solemne Misa de la Vigilia Pascual; se celebrará tanto en SJ como en S a las 8:30 p. m. El P. Brooks celebrará la Vigilia Pascual en San Juan.

Un sacerdote invitado celebrará la Vigilia Pascual en San Juan Diego. La Vigilia Pascual en SJD será una liturgia en español. El encendido del Fuego Pascual y del Cirio, acompañado de una procesión, tendrá lugar en ambas parroquias al inicio de la Misa de la Vigilia Pascual, a las 8:30 p. m. Por favor, tengan en cuenta que la Misa de Vigilia habitualmente programada en SJ (a las 5:00 p. m.) no se celebra el Sábado Santo. Asimismo, les informamos que no se administrará el sacramento de la confesión el Sábado Santo en ninguna de las dos parroquias.

Domingo 5 de abril: Misa del Domingo de Pascua

La Misa se celebrará en los horarios habituales de domingo en ambas parroquias: 8:30 a. m. en SJ (en inglés), 10:15 a. m. en SJD (en inglés) y 11:30 a. m. en SJD (en español).
