BABYLON IS MAKING ITS MOVE

There is something happening in America right now that the Church needs to recognize. Babylon is making its move. I’m not talking about a geographical place or a political party. I’m talking about a system and a spirit that has operated throughout human history. We can trace its fingerprints back to the Tower of Babel, when mankind said, “Let us make a name for ourselves” (Genesis 11:4). It was humanity attempting to build its own system, establish its own order, and determine its own destiny apart from God.

That spirit never went away. Babylon changes its language, appearance, and strategy, but the goal remains the same: remove God from the center and convince mankind that we can become our own authority. Instead of “Thus says the Lord,” the spirit of Babylon asks, “Did God really say?” It is the ancient temptation and lie of Genesis 3 repackaged for every generation: you can be your own god. Look at AI and the introduction of many new technologies simultaneously. Man is trying to put science and technology above God.

One of the greatest vehicles for this Babylon System in modern America has been pushed from Hollywood. For more than a century, entertainment has helped shape how people view success, relationships, marriage, sexuality, morality, politics, and even truth itself. Celebrities became idols, the screen became a quasi pulpit, and somewhere along the way entertainment stopped simply entertaining us and started discipling us.

We have watched this influence move through the “sexual revolution”, the counterculture, radical individualism, materialism, celebrity worship, secularism, woke ideology, and other movements that challenge biblical authority.

There have certainly been legitimate issues and injustices addressed along the way, but Babylon has always known how to take legitimate concerns and attach rebellion against God to them. The message eventually becomes the same: throw off restraint, redefine morality, follow your own truth, and reject anyone who says there is an authority higher than yourself. It is the pre-Antichrist system (Babylon) taking its final end-time form.

Now we are watching another shift. Elements of Hollywood and the broader cultural machine are increasingly moving toward the American South and into areas historically known as the Bible Belt. It is especially crazy for me, coming from Hollywood and knowing this system well, to see those very studios setting their sites on Nashville and the South. This is not coincidence. This is Babylon making its move. This is spiritual. Watchman see what is going on here.

I don’t believe the Church should be naive about this. Culture matters. Institutions matter. What is taught to our children matters. What is normalized through entertainment matters. Ideas have consequences.

At the same time, our battle is not against people. Hollywood actors are not our enemy. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood.” People need Jesus Christ, and we a commanded to love them and preach the Gospel to them. But loving people does not require surrendering biblical truth.

Islam is not Christianity. It is a lie. Secular humanism is not Christianity. It is a lie. Marxism is not Christianity. It is a lie. Woke ideology is not Christianity. It is a lie.

We can love people while refusing to compromise what the Bible teaches.

America is standing at a crossroads, and I believe God is giving us a massive warning. He is allowing us to see what is trying to happen before it is too late. The question is whether the Church will recognize the hour.

But here is what Babylon has forgotten: God is not out of moves.

There is a pushback coming.

I believe there is a new generation rising right now that is hungry for something real.

Young men and women are discovering that the promises of this world cannot satisfy them. They are tired of empty religion, empty entertainment, empty sexuality, empty materialism, and empty ideologies. They are hungry for truth. They are hungry for purpose. They are hungry for the presence of God.

I believe we are watching the beginning of a Jesus Generation.

And the answer for America is not another cultural trend. It is not Hollywood. It is not another political slogan. The answer is awakening. The answer is Jesus Christ.

There have been moments throughout American history when a relatively small group of people stood up and changed the trajectory of what came next.

During the Revolutionary era, courageous men gathered, debated, prayed, sacrificed, and ultimately made decisions that shaped the future of this nation. They understood that there are moments when people cannot remain spectators.

I believe we are standing in another defining moment.

God’s people must stand up. Pastors must preach the Word without compromise. Parents must disciple their children. Young people must refuse to bow to the idols of their generation.

Christians must pray, fast, evangelize, build, lead, create, vote, serve, and occupy the places where God has positioned them. We cannot abandon culture and then complain when Babylon fills the vacuum.

This is an Esther 4:14 moment: “Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

Revelation 18:4 says, “Come out of her, my people.” Come out of compromise. Come out of idolatry. Come out of the fear of man. Come out of the spirit of this age. Come out of anything demanding an allegiance that belongs only to Jesus Christ.

Yes, Babylon is making its move.

But God is not out of moves…

There is still a remnant. There is still a Church. There is still a generation that will not bow. There is still power in the Gospel.

There is still power in prayer. There is still power in the blood of Jesus. And there can still be a mighty awakening that changes the trajectory of this nation.

God is showing us what is trying to happen. He is sounding the alarm. Now the question is whether His people will recognize the hour and respond.

It is time for the Church to rise. It is time for the Jesus Generation to rise. And it is time for America to turn back to God. Amen!

1 Corinthians 2:14 (NKJV):

“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

Paul is explaining that someone who is operating only from the natural mind cannot fully understand spiritual truth. The things of God may seem strange, irrational, or even foolish because spiritual truth requires spiritual discernment. When we come to Christ and the Holy Spirit begins working in us, our eyes are opened and we begin to understand things we could not see before. That’s why we shouldn’t be surprised when someone who doesn’t know Christ doesn’t understand our faith, convictions, or the way we live.

No matter what you’re going through right now, remember this: Jesus is still King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Your circumstances haven’t changed who He is. The storm doesn’t change His authority. The diagnosis doesn’t change His power. The financial pressure doesn’t change His provision. The attack doesn’t change His protection. And what looks impossible to you is not impossible for God.

Sometimes we get so focused on what’s happening around us that we forget Who is above it all. Jesus is not nervous about your situation. He hasn’t lost control, and He hasn’t forgotten you. He sees what you can’t see. He knows what you don’t know. He is already in your tomorrow, and He is able to make a way where there seems to be no way.

So don’t allow fear to write the ending of a story that God is still writing. Pray. Stand. Believe. Keep moving forward. The same Jesus who calmed the storm, healed the sick, opened blind eyes, raised the dead, and walked out of the grave is still on the throne today.

Jesus is King. Jesus is Lord. Jesus is alive. And He’s got this.

He Gave Us A Choice…👇👇👇

One of the greatest expressions of God’s love is something we often overlook: He gave us a choice. Think about that for a moment. The God who created the heavens and the earth could have created humanity without the ability to choose Him or reject Him. He could have programmed us to worship Him, obey Him, and serve Him, but that wouldn’t be love. Real love requires a choice. If someone is incapable of saying no, then their yes doesn’t carry the same meaning. God wanted sons and daughters who would freely know Him, love Him, worship Him, and walk with Him.

That is why free will is so significant. From the beginning, God gave humanity both the dignity and responsibility of choice. Adam and Eve could obey God or rebel against Him. Joshua would later declare, “Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve” (Joshua 24:15). Throughout Scripture, God continually places a choice before people: life or death, blessing or cursing, obedience or rebellion, surrender or self-rule. Jesus called people to follow Him, but He never forced them. God desires a genuine relationship with us, and genuine relationship cannot be produced through coercion.

What makes the Gospel so incredible is that humanity used that freedom to rebel against God, and God responded by coming after us. John 3:16 tells us, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.” We walked away, and He came looking for us. We sinned, and He provided the sacrifice. We owed a debt we could never pay, and Jesus Christ paid it Himself. The Cross is the greatest demonstration of love this world has ever seen because Jesus willingly took upon Himself the punishment for our sin. He shed His blood, carried our shame, and bore what we deserved so that we could receive what we could never earn: forgiveness, reconciliation, righteousness, and eternal life.

Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” God didn’t wait for us to clean ourselves up. He didn’t wait until we deserved His love. He loved us right in the middle of our rebellion and made a way for us to come home. That is grace. Salvation is not humanity climbing a ladder trying to reach God. It is God coming down to rescue humanity through Jesus Christ.

Yet even after paying the ultimate price, God still gives us a choice. Revelation 3:20 gives us this powerful picture: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock.” Jesus knocks. He calls us. He convicts us. He draws us. He reveals Himself to us. But He does not force the door open. He says, “If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him.” God has already initiated salvation. Jesus has already paid the price. We cannot save ourselves, and no amount of good works, religious activity, church attendance, money, accomplishments, or human goodness could ever purchase salvation. But we must respond to the grace God is offering us.

That response is faith, repentance, and surrender. It is coming to the place where you say, “Jesus, I need You. Forgive me of my sins. I believe You died for me and rose again. I surrender my life to You. I receive You as my Lord and Savior.” And when that happens, you aren’t simply joining a religion or deciding to become a better person. Something supernatural takes place. You are born again. The Holy Spirit comes to dwell within you. Your sins are forgiven. Your relationship with the Father is restored. Your identity begins to change, your desires begin to change, your purpose changes, the trajectory of your life changes, and most importantly, your eternal destination changes.

Jesus said in John 5:24 that the person who hears His Word and believes in Him “has passed from death into life.” That is the magnitude of salvation. We were spiritually dead, separated from God because of sin, and Jesus came so that we could have life. Not simply a slightly improved version of our old life, but new life in Him. This is why encountering Jesus Christ is the most life-changing experience a human being can ever have. Nothing else compares to being reconciled to the One who created you.

The world will offer you countless substitutes. Money, success, relationships, pleasure, influence, achievement, entertainment, possessions, and recognition can provide temporary satisfaction, but none of them can reconcile your soul to God. None of them can forgive your sins. None of them can give you eternal life. There is a place inside the human heart that was created for God, and nothing created can ever permanently fill the place that belongs to the Creator.

And this is where free will becomes such an incredible expression of God’s love. God loved us enough to give us the ability to choose, even knowing humanity would use that freedom to reject Him. Then He loved us enough to send His Son to die for the very people who rejected Him. And even after all of that, He continues to extend His hand rather than forcing Himself upon us. The Cross says, “This is how much I love you.” The empty tomb says, “This is how powerful I am.” The Gospel says, “Come.” But ultimately, each of us must decide how we will respond.

Maybe you have felt that knocking on the door of your heart. Maybe you know God has been drawing you. Maybe you’ve spent years trying to fill the emptiness with everything this world has to offer, and you’re finally realizing that none of it is enough. Jesus is not offering you another temporary fix. He is offering you Himself. He is offering forgiveness, freedom, purpose, reconciliation with God, the presence of the Holy Spirit, and eternal life.

Receiving Jesus Christ is the most important decision you will ever make because the consequences of that decision don’t end when your life on this earth ends. This life is temporary, but eternity is forever. God has already made His move. The Cross proved His love. The resurrection proved His victory. The Gospel extends His invitation. Jesus is standing at the door of your heart and knocking.

The question is whether you will open the door and let Him in.

“I WILL NOT BE A VELVET-MOUTHED PREACHER”

There is a powerful story that George Whitefield, one of the great evangelists of the First Great Awakening, once told that I believe every Christian, and especially every preacher, needs to hear today.

Whitefield recounted a conversation involving the Archbishop of Canterbury and Thomas Betterton, one of the most famous actors of his generation. The Archbishop couldn’t understand how actors could stand on a stage and portray things everyone knew were imaginary, yet somehow move an audience to tears. People would become completely captivated by the performance. They would cry, tremble, laugh, and become emotionally invested in something they knew wasn’t actually happening.

Yet preachers could stand behind pulpits and speak about God, heaven, hell, judgment, salvation, eternity, and the souls of men, things they claimed to actually believe were real, and people could sit there almost completely unmoved.

So the question was asked, how can actors move people so deeply with things that are imaginary, while ministers struggle to move people with things that are real?

Betterton’s answer was piercing. He essentially said that actors speak of imaginary things as though they are real, while preachers sometimes speak of real things as though they are imaginary.

When Whitefield told the story, his response was powerful: “Therefore… I will bawl, I will not be a velvet-mouthed preacher.”

Think about what he was saying.

Whitefield wasn’t simply talking about being loud. He was talking about conviction. He refused to stand before people and casually discuss eternal realities as though he were giving a lecture. He believed heaven was real. He believed judgment was real. He believed eternity was real. He believed sin was deadly. He believed Jesus Christ was truly crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. He believed the Gospel was literally the difference between life and death.

So he preached like he believed it.

That’s what I believe is missing in much of Christianity today. We have become so concerned about being polished, accepted, culturally relevant, and careful not to offend anyone that sometimes we have removed the urgency from the Gospel. We can preach about eternal things as though they are simply theological concepts rather than eternal realities.

If heaven is real, preach like it’s real. If hell is real, warn people because you love them. If sin destroys lives, don’t celebrate what Jesus died to set people free from. If judgment is coming, tell people the truth. If the blood of Jesus washes away sin, proclaim it. If Jesus Christ really rose from the grave, then preach Him with everything you’ve got.

Paul said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.” Romans 1:16.

This doesn’t mean we become angry, hateful, arrogant, or unnecessarily harsh. Jesus was full of grace and truth. We preach because we love people. We warn because we love people. We call people to repentance because we know there is forgiveness, restoration, freedom, and eternal life available through Jesus Christ.

A doctor doesn’t hate a patient by telling them something is wrong. If there is a deadly disease, love demands that the doctor tell the truth. And if there is a cure, love demands that the doctor tell them about that too.

That’s the Gospel.

We have all sinned. We all need a Savior. Jesus Christ came, shed His blood, died for our sins, and rose again so that whoever believes in Him can be forgiven, redeemed, restored, and made new.

Church, this is not the hour for velvet-mouthed Christianity. This is not the hour to whisper while a generation is searching for truth. We need men and women filled with the Holy Spirit who actually believe the Book they carry and aren’t ashamed to proclaim what it says.

Preach Jesus. Preach repentance. Preach the cross. Preach the blood. Preach righteousness and holiness. Preach grace and mercy. Preach the resurrection. Preach the whole counsel of God.

And preach it with tears in your eyes, love in your heart, and conviction in your spirit because eternity is real and souls matter.

May God raise up another generation that refuses to whisper while the world is burning.

The Night Jesus Told a Religious Man, “You Must Be Born Again”

Nicodemus was not some godless man wandering the streets with no knowledge of God. He was a Pharisee. A religious leader. A respected teacher of Israel. He knew the Scriptures. He understood religious tradition. He knew how to look the part, say the right things, and live according to the religious expectations of his day. Yet something inside of him knew there was more.

So Nicodemus came to Jesus at night.

Maybe he didn’t want anyone to see him. Maybe he was afraid of what the other religious leaders would think. But something about Jesus had gotten his attention. He had seen the miracles. He had heard the words. He knew there was something different about this Man.

Nicodemus said, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” John 3:2.

But Jesus didn’t flatter him. He didn’t congratulate him for recognizing the miracles. He went straight to the condition of his soul.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3.

Think about that.

Jesus was speaking to a religious man and telling him that religion wasn’t enough.

Knowing Scripture wasn’t enough. Having a title wasn’t enough. Being respected wasn’t enough. Going through religious motions wasn’t enough. Nicodemus needed something that couldn’t be accomplished through human effort.

He needed to be born again.

Nicodemus couldn’t understand it at first. “How can a man be born when he is old?” But Jesus was talking about something much deeper than a physical birth. He was talking about a supernatural transformation of the heart through the Spirit of God.

That same message is desperately needed today.

You can sit in church every week and still need to be born again. You can know Christian language, listen to sermons, post Scriptures, sing worship songs, and even serve in ministry, but none of those things can substitute for a genuine encounter with Jesus Christ.

Christianity isn’t behavior modification. It isn’t cleaning up the outside while leaving the inside untouched. Jesus didn’t come simply to make bad people behave better. He came to make dead hearts alive.

There has to come a moment when Jesus becomes more than something you’ve heard about. You recognize your sin. You repent. You surrender. You believe upon Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit begins a work inside of you that you could never manufacture yourself.

Jesus told Nicodemus, “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:6.

This is why the answer for our generation isn’t more religious theatrics. We don’t need another performance. We don’t need Christianity without conviction, repentance, holiness, surrender, or the power of the Holy Spirit.

We need to be born again.

And then Jesus gave Nicodemus words that would eventually become some of the most recognized words in all of Scripture:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.

That’s the Gospel.

God loves you so much that He sent His Son. Jesus went to the cross, shed His blood for our sins, died, and rose again so that we could be forgiven, redeemed, restored, and made new.

Nicodemus came to Jesus in the darkness, but Jesus pointed him toward the Light.

Maybe that’s where somebody is today. You know about God, but deep inside you know something is missing. You’ve had religion, but you’re hungry for relationship. You’ve gone through the motions, but your heart is crying out for something real.

Come to Jesus.

Don’t worry about what people will think. Don’t hide behind a title, denomination, reputation, or religious history. Lay everything at His feet.

The message Jesus gave Nicodemus hasn’t changed.

“You must be born again.”

Not improved. Not polished. Not religiously impressive.

Born again. A new creation in Jesus Christ!

And when Jesus truly gets hold of a surrendered heart, everything begins to change. 🔥🔥🔥🙏
