God is always speaking. We have to make space to listen.

Often we fill our prayers so full of our own words that we leave no room to wonder what the Father is saying. It seems like he only gets through to us on rare occasions.

It doesn't have to be that way. In fact, it isn't that way. God is speaking.

Take some time today to sit down and practice 15 minutes of silence with the Lord. Don't fill it with prayers; just listen. Feel where your heart wanders to and listen closely to those feelings, nudges, and thoughts that seem a little more like Jesus than yourself.

Would we notice if Jesus didn’t turn up?

It’s possible to be competent, organized, and effective—even in church—and still rely more on our own strength than on the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus never intended for us to do life, leadership, or ministry alone. He calls us to depend on Him, listen for the Spirit’s prompting, and make His presence central to everything we do.

So take a moment to ask yourself:
Are you simply getting things done, or are you making space for Jesus to lead?
What would change if dependence on Him became the foundation of your life and ministry?

What if we expected the Holy Spirit to empower us in the everyday moments of life?

From our perspective as humans, the Holy Spirit is God’s empowering presence. He loves to come alongside us to help, guide, strengthen, and resource us to look more like Jesus and extend His kingly rule wherever we go.

Yet, strangely, many of us don’t expect—or even ask—the Holy Spirit to empower us in the ordinary moments of life.

🟢A planning meeting at work.
🟢A difficult school assignment.
🟢Figuring out the family budget.
🟢Building a relationship with a neighbor who doesn’t yet know Jesus.
🟢Navigating a difficult conversation.

We can easily fall into what has been called “functional atheism”—living as though we have to figure everything out in our own strength, even though the empowering presence of God is available to us.

And did you know that the Holy Spirit is not offended when we ask Him to resource us with heaven’s authority and power?

This weekend, we had the incredible opportunity to speak to 300 people about the power and presence of the Holy Spirit!

Our focus was on equipping people to confidently step into prayer ministry. Not just hearing about it, but learning how to pray for others and minister to them in the power of the Holy Spirit. We had the privilege of modeling prayer ministry with volunteers, creating space for people to see what it can look like in practice.
There was such a beautiful openness and hunger for the Holy Spirit throughout the weekend. We’re so grateful for every person who came ready to learn, receive, and step out in faith.

It’s an honor to partner with and be part of what God is doing through this ministry. We’re believing that what began this weekend will continue to multiply as people take what they’ve learned and bring it into their churches, communities, and everyday lives. 🔥

So grateful for the Holy Spirit, for the people we got to serve, and for the opportunity to be part of it all! ❤️

When life feels urgent, overwhelming, or completely out of your control, how do you respond?

Mark 5 gives us a beautiful picture of Jesus in the middle of pressure, panic, interruptions, and desperate need. He isn’t rushed or overwhelmed by the moment. He remains present, compassionate, and full of faith.
