Congratulations to our St. Mary ACYO chapter on their dedication and support for one another during the annual Sports Weekend 2026! Our ACYO members and parents traveled to Fresno for the weekend to represent our chapter. Our members participated in a variety of sports, including volleyball, basketball, soccer, the 3-point shootout, and Nardi.

This year, our Junior girls’ volleyball team placed 3rd, and our Senior girls’ volleyball team placed 2nd! 👏🎊 We are so proud of our youth members for their efforts and spirits ❤️👏👏

Over the weekend, our members attended the Friday night social at Dave & Buster’s. On Saturday, our youth spent time with other chapters at St. Paul Fresno, socializing, laughing, and dancing traditional Armenian dances. On Sunday, all chapters participated in Badarak celebrated by Hayr Eremia at St. Paul Fresno. After the badark and the final games, the weekend concluded with an awards ceremony and a fun party with a DJ.

We hope our youth can experience Sports Weekend again next year. Arachad Adzvadz❤️

On May 16th Saturday, at church Our ACYO attended a talk, led by Armen Grigorian, Founder & Managing Partner of Redmount Capital Partners with 30+ years of experience in finance and private capital.
Our youth learned about personal finance, entrepreneurial thinking, saving habits, investing, compound growth, and how psychology can influence money decisions through behavioral finance.

It was such an educational and inspiring experience for everyone, and hopefully we will continue to host monthly life and financial education talks for our youth in the future!

Thank you all for attending our Lock-In! A special and heartfelt thank you to ACYO-WD Central Council for hosting this wonderful regional meeting for our youth 🙏✨

Our ACYO and Central Council members enjoyed a variety of fun and meaningful activities, including board games, painting, fellowship, and even making nsharak together. The night was filled with laughter and unforgettable moments. After cleaning up, our ACYO members settled in to sleep at the church around midnight, and the next morning, we all gathered to attend Badarak together.

We are so grateful for this beautiful time that we spent time together, and we can’t wait to see you all again at our upcoming events and Sports Weekend practices!

A heartfelt thank you to all our amazing volunteers, St. Mary Armenian Church Ladies Society, Costa Mesa, CASt. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church - Costa Mesa, CA AGBU OC Armenian School St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church Sunday School and Armineh Alyanakian, for supporting the ACYO Sunday and Saturday School “Souper Bowl Soup Kitchen” fundraiser. The funds raised will go towards helping a soup kitchen in Armenia through FARS, bringing warmth, comfort, and hope to those in need.
