Rarely does the gospel tell us what to do or to believe. Rarely does it give us a straight answer. And today's gospel in Luke, The Road to Emmaus story, is no different. It doesn't give us answers. It raises questions and invites reflection.

It's a map by which we orient and find ourselves. ✨

We know this might be the first time for a lot of folks, so we thought we'd take a minute to give a bit of backstory.

Good Friday is often less of a celebration and more of a chance to pause.

It's a moment to sit with the hard part of the story—loss, grief, injustice… the things we usually try to move past too quickly.

The “good” in Good Friday doesn’t mean it felt good.
It means something meaningful is happening here, even in the middle of pain.

So this service is quieter. Slower.
There’s space to reflect, to feel, or to just sit and not have it all figured out.

You can just come as you are.
We’ll be here at 4:00 pm. 💛
