The Hive is a network of micro churches, primarily located in Benton County, Oregon, that have chosen to connect and cooperate in vision, values, a
nd mission. We are communities on mission together. Vision - We are a community that multiplies small gatherings of Jesus followers. As people come to Jesus and are knit together in relationship, they disciple one another, and leaders are developed. This network of micro churches is a seedbed from which teams are formed and sent to plant new communities. Connecting - Each micro church is part of the Hive. At least once a month all the churches gather together as The Hive for corporate worship, teaching, vision sharing and connecting. Each micro church guards against being ingrown, exclusive and reactionary. Mission - Each micro church actively gives themselves to evangelism, discipleship, and mission in their neighborhood and internationally. Although the core of each community is made up of believers, when we gather together we invite, welcome, and include pre-followers of Jesus. Discipleship – Everyone participates in making disciples—the mandate that Jesus gave to His followers. We intentionally relate to one or more persons to pour our life into theirs that they may draw closer to Jesus. The Hive has chosen Life Transformation Groups as a practical way to assist in discipleship of one another. Size - Most communities are 30 to 60 persons that actively develop godly leaders and hive off new communities rather than grow larger. Retaining this size creates a venue to encourage, build up, and care for one another with minimum administration while meeting in homes or rented facilities. Leadership – Each micro church is led and cared for by a shepherd leader(s) that best fit the qualities in 1 Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:5-9, The Hive Leadership Team (HLT) is comprised of all the micro church leaders who meets weekly together for prayer, accountability, encouragement and corporate decision-making. We desire to multiply leaders and start more communities. Oversight: Dove Christian Fellowship International oversees the Hive. Giving – We are on mission together. Each individual church seeks God and distributes their giving as He directs. Micro churches also give a portion into the common fund. This fund is under the direction of the Hive Leadership Team and is used for giving that is corporate in nature.
