What if you heard the gospel for the first time today? In Pakistan, three Muslim men translating the Bible asked with tears, "Is it really possible that one man paid for the sin of everyone?" When they heard about Jesus, they declared: "We too will have a place at the table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob!"

This is the power of the living Word. From Pakistan to Mozambique to Brazil, the Holy Spirit is moving and lives are being transformed. Cecilia grew up rejected and nameless, but when she encountered Jesus, everything changed. Today she's a successful businesswoman and preacher, sharing the hope that rescued her.

The truth is simple but life-changing: We are saved through Jesus Christ alone. He doesn't just save us—He transforms us and sends us out. The Holy Spirit is the gift that empowers us to be His witnesses, right here in our community and to the ends of the earth. Jesus has overcome. Jesus is victorious. The table is set, and there's a place for you.

Are you trying to earn God's love, or are you simply receiving it?

This Sunday we explored Galatians 2 and discovered a powerful truth: Jesus + nothing = freedom. Too many believers are exhausted, trying to add performance, church attendance, or spiritual disciplines to the finished work of the cross. But when Jesus said "It is finished," He meant it!

Paul confronted false teachers who were sneaking into churches, adding requirements to grace and turning freedom into bo***ge. The gospel isn't about trying harder—it's about surrendering deeper. You don't clean yourself up to come to Christ; you come to Christ and He cleans you up from the inside out.

Stop carrying what Jesus already carried. Stop earning what He already purchased. His grace is enough. You're not rated by God—you're loved by Him because you belong to Him.

Today we pause to remember those who gave everything so we could live free. We honor the men and women of our armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice—the courage of those who laid down their lives in service to our nation.

Scripture tells us there is no greater love than to lay down one's life for others. It is a heavy cost, and one we must never forget. As Christians, we also recognize that civil government is established by God to uphold justice and protect the innocent. When soldiers step forward to defend that order, they carry a profound and sober responsibility.

Yet, even as we are grateful for the freedom we enjoy in this country, we remember that our true and lasting citizenship is in heaven. The ultimate freedom we long for—freedom from sin, death, and despair—was won by Jesus Christ, who laid down His life not just for friends, but for enemies, so that we might have eternal peace with God.

This Memorial Day, we honor the fallen with gratitude and reverence. May we live lives worthy of their sacrifice, pursuing justice, loving our neighbors, and pointing others to the Kingdom that will never be shaken.

To all who are mourning loved ones today, we pray for the comfort of the God who sees your grief and holds every tear. And may the hope of the resurrection be your anchor.
