We live in a world that values visible progress and quick results. Spiritual formation work differently though. It's slow and steady.

Rest is available in God's presence. All we need to do is approach Him.

It's great to pray "God bless me." Just be prepared to use that blessing to bless others.

Whether you're a dad, have a dad, miss a dad, or are grateful for the men who have influenced your life, Father's Day is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the love and faithfulness of our Heavenly Father.

That one word: surely. That changes everything. There's no maybe to it. Jesus promised He'd be with us to the very end of the age. It's a sure thing.

Theme: The walking forgiven
Key verse: Matthew 18:32–33

"You wicked servant. I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me. Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?" — Matthew 18:32–33

A man was forgiven $7.2 billion in debt. He walked out the door and immediately had a coworker thrown in prison for $12,000.
Jesus told that story and then said plainly: this is how my Father will treat those who do not forgive from the heart.
It's a hard parable. It's supposed to be. Because the point isn't subtle: we are the man who walked out the door. We are the ones who have been forgiven a debt so large we could not begin to calculate it. Every sin, every failure, every moment of rebellion against a holy God — absorbed by Jesus on the cross. That is what we carry with us.

And then someone cuts in line. Someone spreads a rumor. Someone lets us down. And we grab them by the throat.
Trey closed Sunday with four words: we are the walking forgiven. That is not a guilt trip. It is the most liberating truth imaginable. Because if what God forgave cost him everything — and it did — then what he's asking us to release cost far, far less.
You can put what they owe you on his account. And walk away.

Today: Read Matthew 18:23–35 slowly. Let the scale of what God has forgiven in you reshape how you're holding what someone else owes you.

There's no power greater than God's power. We can fight all we want, but God's purposes will ultimately prevail.

Jesus said something pretty bold: "But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." Forgiveness is vital to our own experience of mercy.

Theme: Evict them
Key verse: Matthew 18:21–22

"Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?" Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times." — Matthew 18:21–22

Someone has moved into your head space. They're living rent-free, trashing the place, and refusing to leave. And the worst part? They don't even know it. They've moved on with their life while you're still replaying what they did, still holding the receipt, still waiting for them to pay back what they owe you. That's what unforgiveness does. It turns you into a landlord for someone else's chaos. Forgiveness is the eviction notice. Not because they deserve it. Not because what they did was okay. Not because you have to pretend it didn't hurt.

Forgiveness is the decision to stop owning the responsibility to collect a debt you never asked for. To release them from your jurisdiction — not for their sake, but for yours. You don't have to have a conversation with them. You don't need them to be sorry. Some of you need to forgive someone who isn't even alive anymore. That work is still available to you — because forgiveness isn't about them. It's about setting yourself free.

Today: Who is living rent-free in your head? What would it look like to begin the eviction process — not for them, but for you?
