Sunday, June 14, is the Third Sunday after Pentecost, and the chancel color will be green. This week, we begin a new sermon series, “Practicing Faith: Habits that Shape the Christian Life.” Throughout the summer, we will explore spiritual practices and everyday habits that help form us into faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. Our Senior Minister, Rev. Christian Smith, will preach from Romans 12:9–18 in a sermon titled “Practicing Genuine Love.”
We will also begin a new Children’s Time series that explores the different elements of worship and helps explain why we do what we do when we gather as the people of God. This series is designed to help children and adults gain a deeper understanding of our worship life.
We invite you to join us in the sanctuary at 8:45 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. If you are unable to attend in person, the 8:45 a.m. service will be streamed live on our church’s YouTube channel. All are welcome as we begin this new journey of learning how the practices of faith shape our lives and help us grow as followers of Christ.

Can Faith and Doubt Exist Together?

Many Christians assume that doubt is the opposite of faith. But what if doubt is not a sign of failure? What if some of our deepest questions actually become opportunities for spiritual growth?

This week we'll explore several passages where faithful people wrestled with uncertainty, questions, and unmet expectations. Together we'll discover that faith is not about having all the answers, but about continuing to seek God even when we don't fully understand.

Scripture Readings:
• Mark 9:20–24
• Matthew 11:2–6
• Psalm 13:1–2
• John 20:24–29

Why do good people suffer? Why do tragedies happen? Why doesn't life always unfold the way we hoped it would?

This week we begin a new Coffee and Conversation series called Hard Questions of Faith. In our first session, we'll explore the story of Job and wrestle with one of the most challenging questions in all of faith: Why does God allow suffering?

Sunday, May 31, is Trinity Sunday, and the chancel color will be white. This will be a One Service Sunday, with worship at 10:00 a.m. Our Pastor Emeritus, Dr. Charles McCaskey, will be preaching during the service. During worship, we will also celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
We invite you to join us as we gather for worship and celebrate the mystery and majesty of the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The service will also be streamed live on YouTube for those unable to attend in person. All are welcome as we come together as one church family for this special morning of worship.
