A few of our small group members got together at Beaverfork Lake Park earlier today as we move into our summer break. Always a good time to chat, catch up, and put a face to names.

The highlight of the day were the boat rides by "Elder Sam"! 😊 They enjoyed it so, they didn't want to come back.

Today, Pastor Ahmad presented a special message as we begin the deacon nomination process. Here are a few points to consider in your nomination(s):

(1) Deacons protect what matters most (Acts 6:1-4)
(2) Deacons free the church to focus on the gospel (Acts 6:4)
(3) Deacons are chosen for character, not competence (Acts 6:3)
(4) Deacons are shock absorbers for the church (Acts 6:1-7)
(5) Deacons are problem-solvers (Acts 6:3)
