THE KING’S WOE BEFORE HIS WELCOME
Matthew 11:1–25

Tomorrow is the Lord’s Day, and we would love for you to join us at Conway Missionary Baptist Church as we continue our expository journey through the Gospel of Matthew.

Matthew 11 brings us to a sobering moment in the ministry of Christ. The evidence concerning the King was undeniable. His works were visible. His Word was being proclaimed. Yet many who witnessed the greatest light still refused to respond rightly to Him.

The same question confronts us today: What will we do with the truth Christ has given us?

Come with your Bible open and your heart ready as we examine “The King’s Woe Before His Welcome” from Matthew 11:1–25.

Don’t allow another Lord’s Day to become just another Sunday. Gather with the Lord’s church. Hear the Word of God. Worship the King. Respond to His truth.

Conway MBC attended as a vendor last year and again this year in effort to reach college students and let them know we are here for them. Know someone attending a college in Conway? Send them our way. We have MBSF (Missionary Baptist Student Fellowship) services on Wednesday nights where we preach and teach scripture, worship together in singing songs and fellowship with food and fun.

UCA's First Year Experience office hosts Conway Daze each year to welcome students to campus and the Conway community! Over 200 local businesses, campus departments, and registered student organizations were on campus today to help UCA students get involved and connected.

The Passing of the Mantle: When God Raises the Next Generation

One of the greatest dangers facing the Lord's churches today is not persecution from the outside. It is the failure to prepare faithful servants on the inside.

God's work has never depended upon one man. Throughout Scripture, when one faithful servant finished his course, God had already prepared another. Moses was followed by Joshua. Elijah was followed by Elisha. Paul trained Timothy. God's work continues because His truth is faithfully passed from one generation to the next.

In I Kings 19:19–21, we come to one of the most significant moments in Elijah's ministry. While the nation was focused on kings, politics, and corruption, God was looking across a quiet farm at a faithful man behind a plow. Before Elisha ever performed a miracle or stood before kings, he first had to answer God's call with complete surrender.

The Lord is still calling faithful servants today. He is still raising pastors, missionaries, teachers, and faithful church members who will carry His truth into the next generation.
