A YOUNG PERSON getting baptized carries a powerful spiritual meaning.
It means they are making their faith personal—not simply living off the faith of their parents, grandparents, or church family.
Baptism represents a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ and symbolizes the old life being buried and a new life beginning in Christ (Romans 6:4).
For a YOUNG PERSON, it can be especially meaningful because they’re making that declaration while their life is still unfolding.
It also represents the next generation embracing the faith.
The prayers, teaching, encouragement, and example that have been poured into them are beginning to bear fruit.
