God gives us strength and courage to stand up for his truths. Today’s story is from Daniel 3, the gold statue and the blazing furnace. Shadrach, Meshach and Abesnego refused to worship a gold statue as it wasn’t the true God but an idol. The king was mad and had them thrown into a fiery furnace. But, when the king looked “He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”” God protected the men and they walked out unharmed. Please join us at 9:45 for Sunday School and 11 for Children’s church. God is our safety, strength and hope.

There are times in our life that we have “walls” to take down. Today’s story is from Joshua 6:1-16, 20. Joshua was instructing the Israelites how to take down the city of Jericho. For 6 days they circled the city once in silence. On the 7th day, they circled the city 6 times in silence and the seventh time they yelled when the horn blew a long blast. “The seventh time around, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the army, “Shout! For the LORD has given you the city!””please join us in Sunday School at 9:45. Children’s church is at 11. God is strong, so I can be brave.

Sometimes we are in a place that is so noisy that it’s hard to hear someone calling our name. Today’s story is from 1 Samuel 3, God called out to Samuel. He was asleep alone in the temple so it was quiet when God called him. He thought Eli was calling him, but Eli realized it was God calling him and told him God wants to talk to you. “The LORD came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel! ”, Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”” Please join us in Sunday School at 9:45 and we have fun listening activities to do. Children’s church is at 11. We can ask God to speak to us.

If you look at a grape vine, it has a main trunk, many branches, a lot of leaves and it produces a fruit we enjoy - grapes! Today’s story comes from John 15:1-15. The verses talk about a vine and many branches. Jesus is the vine, we are the branches and leaves and God is the gardener. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” Please join us in at 9:45 for Sunday school and 11 for Children’s church. The fruit is love, Jesus said “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”

We listen to Mr Jimmy read us.a portion of the Bible each Sunday. Yet, we need to read the Bible ourselves to be closer to Jesus and God. There are two verses Matthew 6:11 says, “Give us our daily bread”. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” There are many suggestions, Start with the 4 gospels in the New Testament. Please join us at 9:45 in Sunday School. Children’s church is at 11. Start reading your Bible and learn to know God personally.

This month is called Frequency. Basically it is lessons to hear from God. We all need to listen for God’s voice. Today, we will be mainly covering John 10:1-4, 14-16 which is about hearing the shepherd’s voice. Jesus is explains by using sheep and a shepherd. He first talks about the Jews then he says “I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.” We will have fun today listening, come at 9:45 to hear more. Children/s church is at 11. We all can hear from God.

Every one of us has skills/talents, some of us are learning how to use it and we learn from those who have years of experience. Today we are covering Exodus 25-39 but they’re only certain verses we will focus on. God asked people who were skilled in different fields to come together and build a tabernacle-a place to worship God. “Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.” Come to Sunday School at 9:45 to hear more of the story. Children’s church is at 11. God grows His gifts in me/you to build His kingdom.
