Today is our Day of Renewal. We won’t be gathering at the Roviar today, and that’s intentional. This is not a "day off from church." This is a day where we’re taking a break from our normal rhythms to slow down, rest, and make space to be with Jesus.

We tell ourselves we'll rest "later" when things are solved. But true biblical rest comes from finding peace in God, not in a perfect life. Jesus offers rest now, burdens and all.

“Be still, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

In yesterday's message, we talked about how sleep reminds us that we have limits, but God doesn’t. Because he is still actively at work and in control, we can stop. We can release what we cannot control. We can rest, knowing that while we sleep, God is still awake and still at work.

Tonight, may stillness and sleep be an act of trust: God, you are God. I am not. You are awake, so I can rest.
