Some wounds people never talk about…

Some pain people learn to hide…

Some survivors learn how to smile while silently struggling.

This Wednesday at Faith in Motion, we are creating space for a difficult but necessary conversation:

“What Happened to Me Is Not Who I Am”
Healing After Sexual Trauma, Abuse, and Violation

This will be a careful, compassionate, and Bible-centered conversation about:

• Sexual trauma and abuse
• Shame and secrecy
• Victim blaming
• Trauma and intimacy
• God’s heart toward survivors
• Reclaiming dignity and identity
• How the church can become a safer place for healing

Scriptures: Psalm 55 & John 8:1–11

Wednesday, May 27

If this is part of your story, please know this:

You are not alone.
You are seen.
You are loved.
And what happened to you is not who you are.

Invite somebody. Share this. You never know who may need healing.

🇺🇸 Happy Memorial Day from New Faith Baptist Church of Christ 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. We remember their courage, reflect with gratitude, and pray for the families who carry both pride and grief.

Please note that all New Faith church activities are cancelled for today as we encourage everyone to spend time with loved ones, rest, reflect, and remember.

As we honor the memory of those who served, may God grant peace, comfort, and protection to every family.

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” — John 15:13

We look forward to worshipping with you soon.

New Faith Baptist Church of Christ | Sunday Morning Worship

Welcome to worship at New Faith Baptist Church of Christ!

Thank you for joining us this Memorial Day Weekend as we continue our Trauma Awareness Month series with a timely and powerful message designed to strengthen weary hearts and renew hope.

Today’s Sermon

“Still Standing with a Shattered Soul”
Lamentations 3:19–26 (NKJV)
Pastor Raymond D. Austin, Jr.

This Memorial Day and Pentecost-inspired message explores what faith looks like after devastation, grief, disappointment, and emotional exhaustion.

What do faithful people do after loss?

How do we carry memory without losing hope?

How do we move forward when part of us still feels shattered?

Together, we will discover:

• How shattered people still feel pain without losing faith
• Why God invites honesty in seasons of grief and trauma
• How mercy sustains us after emotional collapse
• What Pentecost teaches us about purpose after pain
• Why God still breathes mission into grieving people

Theme for the Day:
Memory after loss. Mission after loss. Mercy after devastation.
