This weekend, Mt. Period hosted an incredible Mental Health Weekend focused on wellness, healing, and community. ❤️🧠

A heartfelt thank you to Deacon Matthew Newsome for leading Friday’s workshop on how nutrition impacts our mental health, and to Minister Danielle Willis, LPC, for her powerful and practical presentation on building emotional support and community.

These sessions reminded us that God cares about the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Thank you to everyone who showed up, participated, and helped make this weekend meaningful.

The Book of Psalms reminds us that faith is not a straight line. There are seasons when life makes sense, seasons when life falls apart, and seasons when God puts the pieces back together again.

Join us for a 3-week virtual small group experience as we journey through:

🔹 Psalms of Orientation — when life is stable and God seems near.
🔹 Psalms of Disorientation — when life is difficult, confusing, or painful.
🔹 Psalms of Reorientation — when God brings healing, hope, and a renewed perspective.

No matter what season you’re in right now, the Psalms have something to say.

For years, Pastor Elmore faithfully preached the Gospel, still cares for God’s people, and is continuing to help shape the ministry and legacy of our church.

As we celebrate his birthday, we thank God for his wisdom, his example, and his unwavering commitment to Christ and His Church.

As the song writer once said, "time is filled with swift transition"— many of us have learned that to be true! Life has times of peace and stability, seasons of struggle and uncertainty, and moments of renewal and restoration. This summer, join us as we journey through the Book of Psalms and discover how God's Word speaks to every season of life.

Beginning June 10, participants will gather virtually via Zoom for a 3-week small group Bible study experience. You can choose ONE of three study tracks:

🔹 Psalms of Orientation
🔹 Psalms of Disorientation
🔹 Psalms of Reorientation

Whether you're seeking encouragement, navigating challenges, or celebrating God's faithfulness, there's a place for you in this study.
