Lord, You Said…
Heavenly Father,
Tonight I come before You, not trusting in my own strength, my own understanding, or my own ability. I come standing upon Your Word. You have invited me to come boldly before Your throne of grace, and so I come with confidence—not because of who I am, but because of who You are.
Lord, You said that You would never leave me nor forsake me. When I have felt alone, You were still there. When I could not trace Your hand, I know I could still trust Your heart. Help me to remember that Your silence is never Your absence.
Lord, You said that all things work together for good to them that love You and are called according to Your purpose. I may not understand every trial, every closed door, every disappointment, or every delay, but I choose to believe that You are weaving together a purpose greater than anything I can presently see.
Lord, You said that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. There have been attacks I never expected, accusations I never deserved, and battles I never asked to fight. Yet Your Word declares that what is formed against me will not prevail over me. I place every attack, every burden, and every fear into Your hands, knowing that You are my Defender.
Lord, You said that You would supply all my need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. You know every concern that weighs upon me today. You know every financial need, every ministry need, every family need, and every personal burden. I ask You to open the doors that no one can shut and provide in ways that only You can receive the glory.
Lord, You said that if I delight myself in You, You would give me the desires of my heart. Continue to shape my desires until they reflect Your will. Let my greatest longing always be to know You, to please You, and to fulfill the purpose for which You created me.
Lord, You said that You watch over Your Word to perform it. Therefore, I refuse to let go of what You have spoken. Even when my eyes cannot yet see it, I will continue to believe it. Even when the answer seems delayed, I will continue to trust You. Even when my strength is low, Your faithfulness remains unchanged.
Forgive me for every moment I allowed doubt to speak louder than Your promises. Replace my anxiety with peace, my discouragement with hope, and my fear with unwavering confidence in Your Word.
Today I surrender my timeline to You. I surrender my expectations to You. I surrender every unanswered prayer to You. I will not try to force what only You can fulfill. I will wait with expectation, serve with faithfulness, and worship with confidence, knowing that You always keep Your Word.
So when the enemy reminds me of what has not yet happened, I will remind him of what You have already said.
Lord, You said You would never leave me.
You said You would make a way.
You said You would be my refuge and my strength.
You said You would complete the work You began in me.
You said that those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.
And because You said it, I choose to believe it.
I will praise You before I see it.
I will thank You before I receive it.
I will trust You before I understand it.
I will worship You until the promise becomes the testimony.
For You are not a man, that You should lie, nor the son of man, that You should repent. What You have spoken, You will perform.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, I pray.
Amen.
