✨ GRWM: After Church Edition | Happy August! ✨

Happy August, y’all! 🤎 I know it’s been a little while since I’ve shared a GRWM, but I’m back! I pray you’ve been doing well, enjoying your summer, and most importantly, staying encouraged in this season. 🙏🏾

Now, let’s get into today’s church look! 👗✨

Today’s outfit is exclusively from Amazon , paired with shoes from ALDO Shoes . I love putting together pieces that are stylish, comfortable, and still give that polished Sunday look.

🛍️ Want the outfit details? You can shop the Amazon pieces directly through my Amazon Storefront. And if you ever see something I’m wearing and can’t find it, just DM me and ask for the link!

But y’all know the outfit isn’t the most important part of Sunday. 😉📖

What did your pastor preach about today, and what Scripture did they come from? Drop the sermon topic AND Scripture in the comments! I would genuinely love to hear what God is speaking through different churches today. ⛪️👇🏾

Stay tuned because there is definitely more content coming! Make sure you’re following so you don’t miss the next GRWM, faith conversation, lifestyle find, or whatever else we get into. 🤎✨

New month, same principle: obedience comes before the outcome. 📆

Last month, we talked a lot about obedience — showing up, trusting God, taking the step even without clarity. But here’s what’s important: that focus doesn’t end when the month does. It’s actually where every new season should begin.

Before you set the goals. Before you map out the plan. Before you chase the outcome you’re believing for this month — obedience has to come first. Ruth didn’t get Boaz, the harvest, or the breakthrough before she obeyed. The obedience came first. Always.

So as we step into this new month, let’s not skip the foundation. What is God asking you to obey Him in — before you even see where it leads?

👇 Let’s talk about it in the comments.

Ruth had every reason to stay. Moab was familiar. It was safe. It was what she knew. Bethlehem? Unknown territory — no guarantees, no five-star reviews, just a calling.

If you’re in your 30s or 40s right now, you already know this tension. Maybe it’s the job that’s stable but no longer fulfilling. The relationship that’s comfortable but not aligned. The dream you shelved because starting over felt too risky at “this stage” of life.

Here’s the truth: most of us don’t lack clarity. We lack the courage to leave what’s familiar for what’s calling us. Comfort isn’t the same as purpose — and it’s not too late to choose differently.

So let me ask you — what’s the “Moab” you’ve been staying in?

👇 Tell me in the comments.

Faithfulness doesn’t always look like a breakthrough. Sometimes it just looks like showing up again tomorrow. 🤎

Maybe it’s staying in the job while you wait for the next door to open. Maybe it’s showing up for your family, your calling, or your healing when nobody’s clapping for you. Maybe it’s trusting God in the waiting room of your life — no clear timeline, no answers, just obedience.

Ruth didn’t get a miracle on day one. She got faithfulness — one ordinary day at a time. And that’s usually where God does His best work.

So I want to ask you directly: where is God asking you to simply remain faithful right now?

👇 Drop it in the comments.

Ruth didn’t wait for a miracle. She just showed up. 🔔

This week we wrapped up Chapter 1 in The Foundation — our virtual Bible study through the Book of Ruth — and if there’s one thing that chapter taught us, it’s this: God didn’t need Ruth to do something huge. He needed her to be obedient in the ordinary.

If you missed it, you didn’t miss your chance — we’re still early, and it’s not too late to catch up before our next session.

If you missed it, don’t worry — we’re still early, and it’s not too late to jump in. Every session builds on the last, and there’s still time to catch up.

Where you go, I will go. Where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God my God.” — Ruth 1:16

Ruth didn’t have a map. She had a decision — to stay committed even when the road ahead was uncertain. That’s the kind of faith we’re studying this July.

This July, join me for The Foundation — a virtual Bible study through the Book of Ruth. We’ll dig into loyalty, redemption, and what it looks like to trust God through seasons of loss and transition.
