What is the Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions?

The Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions exists because we realize that Tennessee is a mission field. This offering stays in Tennessee and provides funding for critical mission strategy.

The offering is named after W.C. & Mildred Golden, who suggested the week of prayer for state missions and a state missions offering in 1902.

Tennessee Baptists contributing through the Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions provide support for Tennessee ministries; sustaining state ministries not funded through the Cooperative Program.

The Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions is meeting human needs through Compassion Ministries. It’s Disaster Relief helping restore a community after a storm. It’s Baptist Collegiate Ministries sharing the hope of Jesus on Tennessee college campuses. It's reaching out to many different ethnic groups moving into Tennessee. It’s reaching the spiritually lost in Tennessee through evangelism. And so much more.

Elections for next year's church officers are be coming up. We have placed Recommendation and Guidelines for Stewards and Deacons, Committees and Officers at the Info Center for review. The deadline for all recommendations for consideration, for ALL POSITIONS, must be received in the office by September 15, 2026.

So excited to worship with our Faith Family today. We are adapting during Sanctuary Renovation, but our Holy God is worthy of our praise!

Our congregation has a legacy of honoring First Responders every fall. This year, we have designated September 18-20 as the weekend to pour out admiration and respect on these faithful people.

It takes many, many hands to make this event successful. Whether you bake a cake, help decorate, cook the pig or chop the meat, there are so, so many needs. A sign up book will be at the information desk on Sundays and in the church office on week days.

Help us love on these faithful individuals in the days ahead.

First Responder Weekend Tee Shirts

Would you like to get a first responder T-shirt to help us celebrate September 18-20, 2026? We are taking orders this Sunday and we will conclude the orders on Sunday, August 30, 2026. We have both children and adult sizes available for purchase. The shirts are $10 each and payment needs to be made in cash or by check at the time of placing your order. Orders can be placed at the information desk on Sunday morning or by stopping by the church office during the week.
