🎉 Big news, Beth Shalom family!

We are kicking off the new Religious School year on Sunday, August 30th (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)! 🍎📚

To celebrate, we’re launching a brand new "Getting to Know You" series! Over the year, we’ll be introducing the amazing teachers, staff, and madrichim who make our community so special.

Our first feature is Moshe Ben Lev, Beth Shalom's Education and Youth Director! Get to know Moshe, reach out with any questions, and drop a comment below to welcome them back!

What a fantastic Sunday afternoon! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the Beth Shalom Congregation Annual BBQ Bash 2026! 🍔🎉

From tie-dying creations and intense soccer games to board games and the incredible Sisterhood pie tasting, the energy today was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for better weather or a better community to celebrate with!

Highlights from the day:

Delicious Bites: Grills were fired up all afternoon, keeping everyone well-fed and refreshed.

Sisterhood Pie Tasting: A massive success—congratulations to all our talented bakers!

Non-stop Fun: Kids and adults alike brought the heat for the outdoor games and craft tables.

A special thank you goes out to all of our amazing volunteers, organizers, and everyone who made a donation to support our community initiatives. Your generosity and spirit are what make Beth Shalom so special.

We were delighted to welcome Beth Shalom Congregation of Columbia, Maryland's Nevonim group to the JLB this week!

During an extensive tour, we shared more about our resources, programming and the tremendous reach we have throughout the community. The group was excited to discover all that the JLB has to offer, so everyone signed up for a library account. Now they can start checking out books and stay up to date on our programs!

We loved sharing the JLB with this enthusiastic group and look forward to welcoming them back.
