There is a level of spiritual intimacy that comes when husband and wife are both pursuing the Lord. But there is an entirely different level of intimacy and blessing that comes when there is a joint pursuit in addition to their own personal relationships.

Friendship in marriage goes beyond any other friendship in our lives. It’s a deep commitment not only to each other but to the Lord and His design for marriage. A marriage built on this foundation can weather the storms and become stronger as a result. This level of relationship and commitment doesn’t stop at the altar, it’s a daily decision of the will to commit to each other and Lord above anything else.

While marriage does get better and better over time, it’s never too early (or too late!) to start making the investments now that will pay off years down the road! Even in the seasons when everything seems to be demanding our time it’s important to make intentional investments in our friendship with our spouse. You will never regret the time you set aside for each other!

Gathering with the people of God is such an important part of our walk with the Lord. There is something special about being together in one place to glorify Jesus!

If we’re not careful, there are things that can creep into our marriages and start to rock the foundation. If we aren’t diligent about taking the small grievances to the Lord and to our spouse, contempt can take hold before we realize it. In order to have a strong foundation, we have to be willing to do the work!

How do I have a STRONGER MARRIAGE?

It’s a question we get often. On Mother’s Day we are starting a new Sermon Series called Stronger Marriage. We will be looking at what God’s Word has to say about every aspect of the marriage relationship.

BUT THERE’S MORE! We will also be releasing a podcast each Wednesday throughout the series where Pastor Cory & Mrs. Joy, along with other couples, will take a deeper look at what it takes to have a stronger marriage.
We are looking forward to all that God will do in and through the families in our church during this series.
