Have you ever thought about how much of an impact it makes when a child learns to worship God at an early age? 🙌🏽

The songs they sing, the Scriptures they learn, and the moments they spend in God's presence are helping build a foundation they can carry throughout their lives. And as they grow, they'll face different challenges, make important decisions, and experience seasons when they'll need to lean on the faith that's being developed in them today.

That's why pouring into the next generation matters so much. Every time we encourage a young person to pray, make room for them to use their gifts, or show them what it looks like to live for Christ, we're helping them discover that they have a place and a purpose in the body of Christ right now.

We thank God for our young people at Agape and for everyone who continues to invest in their spiritual growth. Our prayer is that they will develop a genuine relationship with Jesus, grow confident in who God has called them to be, and carry His love wherever life takes them. ❤️

Sometimes we're having a conversation with someone in the present, but we're responding from something that happened in our past.

Past hurts can influence how we listen without us even realizing it. Someone may genuinely be trying to help, but we assume they're criticizing us. Someone tries to share their perspective, but we're already preparing our response instead of taking time to understand.

And when this becomes a habit, it can create unnecessary distance in our marriages, families, friendships, and even within the church.

That's why learning to listen takes humility. We have to recognize that our perspective isn't always the complete picture. Sometimes God uses conversations to help us see areas where we still need to grow.

James reminds us to be quick to listen and slow to speak. There's wisdom in giving people room to express themselves without allowing our past experiences to determine how we receive them.

So here's something to consider. Are you truly listening to understand, or are you allowing past experiences to influence how you respond? 🙏

“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,” - James 1:19

Have you ever looked back at your life and realized just how much God has changed you? Think about it. The way you used to handle certain situations, the things that used to upset you, or even the people you struggled to forgive. As you grow in your relationship with Jesus, you start noticing that your responses are changing. You find yourself having more patience, extending more grace, and making decisions with God in mind.

Look at Paul in the Bible. Before he met Jesus, he was persecuting Christians. After that encounter, he became one of the very people he once fought against. And even after giving his life to Christ, Paul still had some difficult days. He faced rejection, opposition, and even prison, but he had a different outlook on life because he knew who he was living for.

And that's something we can all learn from. Walking with Jesus doesn't mean every day is going to be easy. It means we have someone guiding us through those days, teaching us how to respond, and helping us become more like Him along the way.

So here's something to think about this week. Can the people closest to you see the difference your relationship with Jesus is making in your life? Because sometimes the greatest testimony you can share is simply how you live, love, and treat the people God places around you. 🙌

Have you ever prayed for God to change a situation, but never stopped to ask what He might want to change in you?

It's easy to point out what someone else needs to work on. We can talk about how people have treated us, why things haven't worked out, or all the reasons we haven't made progress. And while some of those frustrations may be valid, we still have to be honest about the part we play in our own growth.

Because sometimes the very thing we're asking God to fix requires us to take responsibility for something we've been avoiding.

Maybe it's an attitude we've gotten comfortable with, a habit we keep making excuses for, or an area of our lives where we know God has been dealing with us. Whatever it is, we have to be willing to acknowledge it before we can truly surrender it.

And here's what makes that so powerful. We serve a God we can be completely honest with. We can bring Him our mistakes, our struggles, and the things we're not proud of, knowing that He's faithful to forgive us when we repent.

And once God has forgiven you, you don't have to keep living under the weight of what you've done. You can take responsibility for your mistakes without allowing those mistakes to define who you are.

So here's something to think about this week. Are you spending more time asking God to change the people around you, or are you giving Him permission to work on what's happening inside of you? 🙌

What happens when the pressure around you begins to challenge what you believe? It's in those moments that you discover how deeply your faith is rooted in God.

Daniel faced a culture that challenged his commitment to God, yet he remained faithful because his relationship with the Lord was already established. That same kind of faith is developed in our everyday decisions, through prayer, time in God's Word, and choosing obedience even when it requires courage.

As we grow in Christ, His Word begins to shape our decisions, guide our responses, and give us the strength to remain faithful in every season.

Take a moment to examine your walk with God today. Are your daily decisions reflecting the faith you're declaring? Let's continue growing into believers whose lives reflect the truth of God's Word wherever we go. 🙏

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind." - Romans 12:2

hat happens when we come together with hearts expecting God to move? 🙌🏽 We create room for our faith to grow, our hearts to be encouraged, and our lives to be strengthened by His presence. Every time we gather as a church family, we're reminded that we're walking this journey of faith together. Whatever the week has brought, we can bring it before the Lord and trust that He hears us. At Agape, we're believing God to continue doing great things in our lives, our families, and our community! ❤️

Who's ready to celebrate tomorrow?! 🎉🙌🏽 Agape family, we're almost there, and we're excited to see everyone come together for our 24th Pastor and Church Anniversary! We've got so much to thank God for, and what better way to celebrate than being in the house together, worshiping, hearing the Word, and enjoying some good fellowship?

We're especially looking forward to welcoming Rev. Dr. Charles McGriff, Pastor of Greenhill Baptist Church in Elgin, SC, as our guest speaker. And yes, we'll have light refreshments and time to fellowship after service, so plan to stick around!

Bring your family, invite a friend, and come ready to celebrate all that God has done. If you haven't been to Agape in a while, we'd love to see you again, and if it'll be your first time, we're looking forward to welcoming you!

💕✨ First Lady & Pastors Appreciation Dinner ✨💕

What a beautiful evening of fellowship, love, laughter, and appreciation! ❤️🙏🏽 We had such a wonderful time celebrating and honoring our First Lady and Pastors. It was truly a blessing to come together, share a meal, make memories, and show our love and gratitude for the leaders who pour so much into our church family.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who attended and helped make tonight so special! Your presence, love, and support meant so much. To those who desired to attend but were unable to join us, you were missed and certainly in our thoughts. We appreciate you just the same! ❤️
