Driving home from Michigan, Hank Workman had a sudden vision. It was the inside of a wide opened warehouse. The lights shone down on the big bare-bones structure. The immediate thought was ‘what a cool place to have a church.’ It appeared much like a flash and was gone, but in the coming minutes, hours, and days, it was a feeling that he simply couldn’t shake.

eks of prayer about the possibility of starting a church called The Warehouse. It would be a place much like Sam’s Club or Costco. The bells and whistles would be stripped away to get to what really mattered – getting the supplies you need. Spiritually-speaking, this meant getting filled with the Word, sharing in community with others, and working together to be the hands and feet of Jesus. The first church service was held on a Saturday night, November 7, 2009, at an apartment complex club house. There were a handful of people there that night to form a congregation. The excitement was in the air as this new church body began to live out the dream. Since then, God has grown The Warehouse into a centralized hub of ministries that are making an impact in the community every week. The Forklift (2010) and The Line (2012) feeding programs serve a hot meal 5 nights a week through a collaborative partnership with The Center for Whitley County Youth. Celebrate Recovery (2019) is a safe place where you can heal from your hurts, habits, or hang-ups. We gather every Sunday night at 6:00 pm at The Center for Whitley County Youth.
