If we truly have faith in Jesus, shouldn’t it change how we live?

Good works don’t earn salvation, but a transformed life flows from genuine faith. Is your faith producing action and making you more like Jesus?

Faith isn’t just something we say—it changes how we live. 🤍

It’s one thing to say we have faith in Jesus, but does the way we live reflect what we say we believe?

This week, Pastor Shane walked through James 2 and reminded us that genuine faith doesn’t just stay inside of us. When Jesus transforms our lives, that faith naturally begins to produce something—we love differently, serve differently, give differently, and begin living in a way that points others back to Him.

Good works aren’t how we earn our salvation. They’re the evidence of a faith that is alive. It’s not about asking, “Have I done enough?” but instead asking, “Is there life in my faith?”

Take some time this week to reflect:
Is my faith changing the way I live?
What area of my life is God asking me to surrender?
Can others see the evidence of Jesus working in me?

How’s your faith?

God has already spoken...but are we listening?

How much influence does God’s Word actually have over the way you live, the decisions you make, and the person you’re becoming?

And why would we neglect something God has given us to make us more like Jesus?

The Bible was never meant to simply sit on a shelf or be opened on Sunday. God’s Word is meant to shape us, guide us, challenge us, and transform the way we live every day.

Don’t just have access to the Word. Open it. Read it. Listen. Live it.

Learning names matters as we seek to connect with one another. 💚

Sometimes simply saying “Hello! I don’t know if I have met you yet….my name is Ian,” will surely be the beginning of a meaningful connection!

Of course, you want to be sure to replace your name with Ian’s, because we can’t all be Ian at New Hope Wesleyan Church☺️ In fact, we challenge you to find Ian on Sunday morning and introduce yourself to him! He needs to know your name too!

You can’t do “one another” by yourself.

We were never meant to follow Jesus alone. We need people who will encourage us, pray with us, carry burdens with us, and help us grow.

Discipleship happens in community.

Church was never meant to be something we simply attend. It’s a family we belong to. 🤍

Are you connected to the church or are you just attending?
Do you have people who truly know you, pray for you, and challenge you?
And who are YOU helping grow closer to Jesus?

We weren’t designed to follow Jesus alone. Biblical community means showing up, letting ourselves be known, carrying one another’s burdens, and helping each other become more like Christ.

Don’t just attend. Connect. Belong. Serve. Grow.
