Abraham didn't always understand God's plans, but he trusted God's heart. Even when obedience was difficult, even when it didn't make sense, he chose to trust the One who had always been faithful.

And Scripture calls him a friend of God.

God desires that same kind of friendship with us. Not a relationship built only on what He can do for us, but one rooted in reverence, trust, and surrender.

Sometimes, the very thing we're holding onto is the thing God is asking us to trust Him with.
